Family friendly but outdated
Room was very family friendly but the hotel overall was outdated and more mediocre than we expected given the cost. Breakfast spread was great, though!

Once we walked the hill, found a beautiful facility with lovely grounds and history. We were warned about the hill as we were packing luggage. Comfortable room but location only looked over a roof. Appreciated walking the shopping area. Olympic Park and walking along the river Phenomenal!!! We walked at least 5 miles !

The property is beautiful, and the hot tub and sauna are lovely. Easily the cleanest hotel and pool I have ever seen. Very peaceful location, and one can walk into town in 15 minutes.

Large hotel up the hill in Lillehammer. A little dated, but efficiently run. Lots of tour groups on buses & kids on vacation with families. Easy walk to downtown Lillehammer or up the hill to the ski jump.

Horrible Experience!
Horrible! Hot, run down, crammed, tiny rooms. Steam room didn’t work even though we had to pay for a spa pass. Beds were terribly uncomfortable. Layout of hotel was odd, pools and workout room down in basement dungeon. Very disappointed.

The good, location is very good, walking distance to pretty much everything. The property is large but in need of some TLC. Staff was pleasant and breakfast was fantastic. The not so good, our room was on the 6th floor facing the back garden and the pool. It was a very warm day unfortunately room had no A/C and the window could only open about 4 “ due to limit opener installed. With the daylight or midnight sun coming into the room we had to close the drapes which made the room a bit warmer. Unfortunately, they had some king of a party blasting music so loud past 1 am that it made it impossible to fall asleep. The other issue was a bathroom, which has a silly shower design with no door only a small side glass panel and the drain directly under it. Basically, when shower is in use you have about 1” of standing water in the entire bathroom for 15 min until it drains, after which the floor remains wet for hours… Overall, disappointing stay.

We loved our stay the room was just big enough for our 10 day stay. It was still snowing in April so we were unable to walk the grounds. The breakfast they put out was amazing, I only had one issue our small room fridge was broken and they never found time within the 10 days to change it out. I will defiantly be back to stay here again.

Hotel was fine and staff were great and breakfast excellent. Parking was easy. The over abundance of children running around the hotel racing and screaming down hallways and slamming doors I could pass on though.

This is a very nice hotel a bit removed from downtown Lillehammer. The lobby was expansive and the rooms were nice. My primary concern was the level of noise. We were awakened every morning of our 4-day stay by 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. due to police dogs one day to construction of a temporary shelter for a wedding venue another.

Nice place.
The rooms are rather plain, but the location is stunning. We were there for a work summit. Food was really good, as was the bar. It was pretty snowy scenery in March but I bet the summer is just as lovely there.

Dated hotel with good food
So, the room was disappointing, you could hear your neighbours very easily through the walls. The cleanliness was sub-par, we had strangers hair all over the bathroom, even on the ceiling. The sink was leaking water on the floor, the toilet was constantly leaking water as well. This was kinda funny, as they kindly ask you to turn the tap off while brushing your teeth to save water. There was a light bulb in the entrance that did not work. The hotel is built in 1911, so the building itself is quite old and could use some upgrading. The breakfast and dinner was good though! During our stay, the car charger also failed, so we did not have enough power the next day to continue our trip to our destination, without stopping to charge.

Probsbly s nice hotel in past times. Now just average and quality of the food leaves room for improvement. Stuff was motivated but hotel was a bit like Faulty Tower -…imposdible to find the rooms, breakfast only at 7 in the morning. So all in all not enough value for the price paid.

Huge hotel with a fantastic gym and a really good breakfast. However, the overall condition of the hotel was dated and worn, with the hotel not having had a facelift since the 1994 olympics. The a la carte dinner was less than satisfying given the price, with sides that had been under a heating lamp for way too long. The service provided by the gentleman in the bar was way below standard.

A little warning about the impending Hill up to the hotel on an icy day from the railway station would have been appreciated, but once there really liked the grounds and surrounding views,. Was met by a friendly and helpful reception team, although we would have benefitted from a small area explaining surrounding tours sights and activities.

Beautiful hotel. A ways away from restaurants, etc. Long walk downhill and steep walk back up or 110.00 K taxi ride one way From the ads we thought there was a restaurant on site for meals. It was only open for breakfast and a bar at night. We were disappointed we couldnt have lunch there after walking around the upper level of town near the Olympic sites.
