Beautiful Ocean views on a cliff right over Baby Beach and the harbor. Excellent central Dana Point location in a classy relaxed setting with a friendly staff. Good breakfasts and they set out some wine and cheese and snacks in the afternoon. Highly recommend.

Lovely!
We had a nice stay at the Inn in celebration of our wedding anniversary. The wine & cheese reception and the breakfast buffet were lovely. The common areas and grounds were tastefully decorated nicely kept. Our room was very pleasant with a partial view balcony. The property is beautiful but is starting to show its age. There were areas under the windows that showed water damage and several of the jets in the jacuzzi tub were not working, causing them to make terrible sounds when turned on. The area right in front of the inn was fenced off for some kind of maintenance/construction, which was a bummer for the aesthetics. In any case, we had a special time watching the lightning storm roll through at the Blue Lantern Inn!

Beyond amazing!!
This is a fantastic Inn - beautiful setting, wonderful helpful front desk staff, great housekeeping, beautiful comfortable rooms and great services including buffet breakfast and wine hour daily with great appetizers to name just two. I'd give it a higher rating if I could! Also a great location in Dana Point within walking distance of delicious restaurants and the marina and beach. They truly have created a very special place!!

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hotel felt more like a bed-and-breakfast crossed with a Hotel felt like home. The only downfall was you couldn’t get to the beach the walk was extremely long, not to mention the amount of steps to get down to the beach the people were extremely kind and nice, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have just downtime and enjoy life. I hope someday I get to come back and stay a few more days. I would give this five stars the staff was excellent. The food was excellent.

Property is lovely, beautiful ocean views with a nice outdoor patio seating area. Our room was very clean, in room chimney is a plus if you visit during winter time, staff is friendly and helpful. They offer full breakfast which is very good, they also offer afternoon wine and cheese, fruits, baked cookies as well. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights. No added resort fees or parking fees. The breakfast was very good and the evening wine reception was very substantial and tasty. The room was very comfortable and the double sinks and deep tub were very nice. Bed was very comfortable. Loved that they offered daily housekeeping, haven’t had that since before Covid. We were able to walk to the marina which isn’t too difficult if you’re into walks. Beautiful location! Will definitely stay again.
