Great place to stay with your dog!

Posted Aug 25, 2016
I stayes 1 night only because I am having work done in my place. The location of the hotel is a few miles from the beach. You can take your dog with you (I took mine) The rooms are a good size, good insulation. If you bring your dog I would recommend a room NOT close to a hallway door or an elevator which would trigger your dog to bark. I stayed on the first floor, facing the parking lot,3 rooms away from the exit door and my dog was perfectly fine . No fleas,no itching , no barking. Breakfast is basically some wrapped granola bars ,wrapped muffins and some coffee. Staff is friendly. What I cared about the most was to be abe to bring my dog so it worked out perfectly. Good value for the price,I don't care about fancy stuff. Beds were very comfortable, pillows too, good airconditioning. Slept very well.

Disappointing for the price.

Posted May 31, 2016
Pros: Close to the area we were visiting.
Cons: See above.
Location: Huntington Beach downtown, the ocean, Long Beach. Lots to do.
The only positive was the beds were comfortable. This is a bare bones hotel and for the price it was not worth it. Kitchen had a stove, refrigerator, and microwave but no dishes, coffee maker, toaster, or anything else, cabinets were bare. I asked for a coffeemaker to be delivered to room, but never got it. Breakfast was packages of dry oatmeal and very small muffins or granola bars. Coffee was good but had to get dressed and go to the lobby to get some. Room cleaning was not included unless you stay for over a week. Had to take towels down to the lobby and exchange them if needed. No ice maker in the hotel. You have to fill up ice trays in the freezer. I had to open the window to get some fresh air as the air conditioner barely worked. Overall I was very, very disappointed in the hotel.

No thank you!!

I was not happy with the service overall, I feel the front desk was not friendly or inviting. I understand their system was down, and we could not check in on time, it was pretty late also (11pm). So we decided to kill time and grab some drinks, so they can fix the problem. We were promised by the front desk clerk that she would have the problem fixed. When we arrived at 2am, the lady who was helping us was gone, the gentlemen who was now working the front desk had no idea who I was, and what problem had occurred. She left no note no nothing! So here we are again trying to check in. Finally we checked in at 3am and I asked if we can get a late check in for our inconvenience, the clerk said yes he would leave a note. He didn't. I called front desk in the morning, they specifically told me I could check out late, 1pm. However there were maids knocking on our door every hour, they were not aware of our late check out!! The room was clean and nice, it did smell like smoke but I didn't even care, I was so tired! There is no excuse for all the inconveniences, over and over. I will not be staying here again.

Good value alternative to standard hotels

Posted Apr 30, 2016
No frills hotel but clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. Feels more like using a friend's apartment while he's out of town than a hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful, kitchen is a great way to save money on longer stays. Use this place if you are in town for work or other type stay that isn't really a "holiday at the beach" and you wont be disappointed.

Estadía cómoda

El lugar está en una zona industrial, pero la calle es tranquila y de fácil acceso. Le hace falta un gimnasio o un convenio con un gimnasio cercano.

Big disappointment

Room sounded good online but it was dirty, old & unkempt. "Breakfast" was a joke. One we were in room we realized that we should have just cancelled reservation & looked for somewhere better to stay

I asked twice during my two night stay for plates, etc for the kitchen and did not receive any. My sheets had not been changed after the previous guest. I had new sheets brought to me but I had to call two more times and eventually got new pillow cases on the second night. Other than that, the hotel has free convenient parking. Some coffee and bars to grab for breakfast in the lobby. Free, albeit slow wi-fi (with the option to pay for faster internet).

Not good - needs huge remodel. Bad smell and run down.
