Cons: See above.
I arrived late, 11:30 p.m, no one was at desk, there was no bell, no phone in immediate area to access help. When employee arrived, she rudely Informed me that phone was located in the foyer at the front entrance, nowhere near the front desk. I had been reaching for the desk phone and she clearly did not appreciate my attempting to call for assistance on her phone. The hallways smelled and the hotel appeared dingy and marginally clean. A "free breakfast" consisted of coffee, packaged granola bars and muffins; not a breakfast by any stretch of the imagination.

Nice location in Costa Mesa. Not much more to say.

Very rough review on this one. To start the hotel smelled terrible, of cigarettes and old food everywhere. The pipes in the walls literally screamed all evening when other guests used the water or toilets I assume, and kept us from sleeping in the late night hours. The staff was helpful and courteous, but physically impossible to correct any of our concerns without tearing this hotel down and starting over!

Hotel Near Irvine Airport - but not good

Pros: Location near airport
Cons: in short, everything but most important - Wifi signal, breakfast, comforter, mattress, rug, bathroom shower etc.
Hotel is OK, near airport in Irvine, CA. The room have more space then others but not room conform feels ok. mattress ok, comforter are not good that you sleep peacefully. Bathroom ok. Shower does not have speed and many options. Breakfast is worst, compare what you pay for price for a room. Better buy a cheaper hotel and enjoy your breakfast outside. The breakfast have very less choice - muffin, granola and coffee... it's also grab and go breakfast which are worst. you are not in rush when you are on vacation...Wifi is worst on planet, even mall wifi better than this hotel. Rug between two beds is dirty and smelly. I would not recommend to stay here, unless you don't have any another option.

Pretty nice, good value for the price.

Nothing fancy, but if you need a less expensive hotel in this area it will do fine. My room smelled slightly of old cigarette smoke, but not bad enough to change rooms. The bed and linens were clean. Close to the airport and UC Irvine, though not many restaurants within walking distance.

No room service loud.

Never stayed in hotel for 3 days and not had frwah towels and bed made Joke Staff was very nice Given the the area was surprisingly was not as clean as you woukd expect Bed was rock hard. Towels smelt like jr high gym Freaking horrible Ive stayed at better motel 6s Next time i will spend the $100 extea and stay at the Marriott

Hotel of last resort.....

Pros: Looks like a real hotel on the outside
Cons: Start cleaning the rooms after each guest....
Location: Location is fine
This place is a dump....old beat up furniture, dirty room, dirty hallways, and no amenities you would expect in a real hotel. Stay here only if nothing else is available

good place and excellent value

Location: newport beach
this was our first time at ESA, and it was fine. the people were friendly and the room comfortable and clean. certain parts of the facility, such as the lobby, could use a little sprucing up. the grab-and-go breakfast is what it is: not fancy, but convenient. some of the complaints in reviews we have read seem unwarranted. the hotel does not say it is a gourmet breakfast. the only negative is that our room on the top floor (which we like) was noisy in that we could hear the motor of the air flow system. it wasn't unbearable, and so we didn't ask to change rooms. however, this is the third time we have booked through Expedia and gotten a room that was like this. it makes us wonder if that is what comes with the discounted rate.

Not clean

The room was supposed to be a non smoking room and all I could smell was smoke. Especially in the bathroom. All of the towels has stains on them. The shower curtain had stains all over it too. Two of the lights didn't work. There wasn't even a menu on the phone to tell you how to contact the front desk. Then when I tried to call from my cell phone nobody answered. I kept trying for 20 mins. and nobody answered to phone at the front desk. I will never stay here again.
