Wonderful experience

Posted Mar 10, 2017
The pool and activities including life sized chess set and shuffle board were wonderful. The gym was very nice and fully equipped. The back bay running path was right out the back gates and easy to access.

Great Stay

Close to the beach and to shopping. The staff was great and the rooms were comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again.

Tranquil hotel

Posted Feb 26, 2017
Hotel is a nice change to high rise. Great rooms. Nice shower with great pressure. Firm Beds. Need two more pillows though. Minutes to fashion island. Protected from West winds as in a valley. I have stayed in all of Newport hotels along with Huntington and love this the best.

Huh? Why would you stay here?

Posted Feb 20, 2017
If you golf maybe? They also have tennis. But if you are a tourist. It's too far away from anything, the rooms are nothing special. The pools are nice. It's 20 min drive to the beach without traffic in the winter. The bed was lumpy. The place had extra fees for everything so add on at least $60 per night to the base fee on Expedia for paying and "resort fee". Never going there again.

Excellent service, location, room is clean. Restaurant is over priced, but good breakfast/brunch

Just OK

Posted Jan 23, 2017
Pros: Newport Beach Area
Cons: Beds were hard and sheets & pillows felt cheap.
Location: Area was the best part
Nothing Special. Older, hallway smelled, Everything cost WAY too much.. it takes more than just putting a name on the front door.

Nice hotel, close to Balboa Island

Posted Jan 17, 2017
Hyatt is one of my favorites. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, kid friendly, and close to Balboa Island & Fashion Island. The rooms are starting to show some wear & tear but still very nice.

A Nice hotel for those who golf and summer time

Posted Jan 6, 2017
Pros: Restaurants and staff were really good.
Cons: eves drops and excess water management, new paint in the outside and shuffle board and corridors would be nice.
it was mostly like a resort than a hotel, lotsa swimming pool and Golf facility. unfortunately the time we were there it was rainy and all the carpet in the corridors were wet and water was leaking in the walkways from the eves. rooms were nice and a good balcony. Main building that was attached to the lobby seems to be well maintained but the other building needs an update.
