You get what you pay for and this place is cheap.

Pros: Price, and the experience was much more pleasant than staying at the super 8 where I had been the previous week.
Cons: The place needs a remodel.
Location: Hooters is next door if you enjoy that environment. If you want something more up scale, south coast plaza is a long walk or short drive away.
That's not necessarily a bad thing. Other than a funny smelling room, the staff were courteous, I didn't have issues accessing the wi-fi, the room was comfortable, and everything was in working order. Keep in mind that this hotel is next to a freeway, so you probably won't be leaving the window open. The location is right next to a hooters, and south coast plaza is probably a 20-30 minute walk.

Nice location but some of the amenities need help.

The entire time we were there none of the soda machines had any stock. The first day we left our room at 10am and when we returned at 5 the room still wasn't clean yet.

The room was so dirty carpet looked awful we asked for a non smoking room it smelled of smoke there were cigarette burns in the bedding it was so nasty we had to leave early

Don't stay

The room stunk so bad the shower was broke little nats flying everywhere I itched all night we cut our trip short needless to say I would not ever recommend this place

People smoking outside facility. Random car loads of people sitting in cars in lot looked like they were doing drugs , broken hairdryer, asked for a microwave for the stay never showed up,

You should have received a microwave in a timely manner and the broken hairdryer should have been addressed before the room was rented. We do not allow people to hang out around the hotel or in their vehicles. Nice, affordable, and pet friendly

Pros: Dog friendly, the bed was super comfortable (smelled freshly laundered and GREAT), good breakfast, kind staff
Cons: the fan in the bathroom was not working making it humid and there were lots of gnats in there too stuck to the ceiling above the show.
Location: Very close to Newport beach to see the whales and if you have a dog, only 15 mins to huntington dog beach :)
Overall a good time, have been coming to CA and staying here 3 years straight

It was close to many places we were in the area for. The room smelled like urine... not too bad but sometimes I got a whiff of it. Maybe it's because they allow dogs there and the dogs might have tinkled somewhere.

The room I got was too smelly to stay. I also don't think it's a secured place because I was followed by 2 scary guys to my room to ask for money at 9 pm. The only good thing about this hotel was that the staff was nice to let me change to another room. I don't recommend this hotel for the family with kids.

We will make sure we are taking care of smells by cleaning the carpets and refreshing the air in the room. We have also spoken to our staff as we are an exterior property we need to be more watchful as to who is loitering our property. My apologies that you had someone come up to you and ask for money. We discourage that here at the property and will take caution.
