Not much has changed since last stayed here 25 years ago. Marriot has done a great job keeping the property fresh and updated. I only use hotels to sleep in so as long as they are clean, the showers work, and the beds are comfortable and sleepable I am happy. They check all those boxes

The staff was friendly & helpful. Beds could have been softer, but they were fine. We were initially placed in a king bed ocean view room but it didn’t have a balcony, so we asked to switch to another room for the second night and they accommodated us. Very helpful. It was a great stay.

Beautiful place. A bit of a money trap with resort fees and mandatory valet parking at close to 50.00. You can park on the street but it’s limited time parking g. If there was a parking lot we could t find it. Overall we really liked the resort. Great staff, incredible views.

Over priced. Pool was freezing cold. No self parking option unless you want to walk up a super steep incline to get to property. Usually not a huge deal to use vale, but at $46 per day even if you don’t get your car out. The door has visible gaps all around and you can hear everything going on all day and night. No fan in bathroom or closing, locking door. Nothing included at all, up charges for everything.

Wonderful property with excellent staff. Enjoyed a beautiful view from literally everywhere - room balcony, pool lounger, bar, and restaurant. My favorite spot is by far the comfy chairs around fireplaces in the restaurant. Quick walk down the hill to the Dana Point Harbor. Bathrobes that they provide are actually large enough to wrap around you and keep you cozy (most places only have ones meant for stick figures). We ended up extending our stay for another night because we were so relaxed. Worth *almost* every penny (except for the valet parking which is required and $46/day… woof). Luckily the overall experience outweighs that hefty price tag.

The rooms are modernized and nice. It sits on a high Bluff with great views all around. There’s lots of walking either down to Dana Point Harbor, or into the shopping part of Dana Point. The restaurant breakfast was very good. The health club is nice and large.
