Great location off highway 26.

Posted Apr 14, 2016 on Hotels
Easy access off highway 26. Comfortable bed. There is a train track behind the hotel which did wake us up in the night but we were too tired to really affect our sleep. Staff very help. We had dinner at a nice Mexican restaurant which the stafff had recommended (Rosalea) in Orangeburg town. Excellent food. Would go back.

Not a chance

Posted Mar 28, 2016 on Hotels
We actually didn't stay. We paid, drove around the side to our room, passed the algae filled green pool, saw the sketchy people hanging around outside, and saw that our room was first floor with outside access (like a motel, not hotel as they advertise themselves). Everything was outdated. Went right back to the front desk and asked for our money back. Spent $20 more for a safe, clean, comfortable stay across the street at the Comfort Inn. Worth every penny to stay somewhere other than Days Inn.

Short Stay

Posted Mar 3, 2016
We had an overnight stay. The rooms were clean, the bedding was clean, and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was also very good. Nice place for the price!

Headed to North Carolina - overnight stop. Front desk staff was not very friendly or welcoming during check-in. Room was clean.

Great place to stay near The Grand Americcan

Posted Jan 16, 2016
Pros: The rooms were large and we'll kept. It was quite and relaxing
Cons: Parking
Location: Near great places to eat and we go down every year for the past 40 years to the Grand American which it is close to
Everyone was nice and went out of their way to make our stay great .The breakfast was great and if you could not find something you liked to eat you did not need to eat

days inn Orangeburg

Convenient to highway. Room was clean, Wi-Fi was good. Did not sleep well. We were on the McDonalds side of the hotel. 24hr drive through and over night cleaning kept me awake. Not to mention the 4:30 am train that had to practice it's horn blowing. Needlessly to say, we got an early start to our next day of travel. Morning buffet nothing to write home about. Coffee was ok.

So so good and bad.....

Posted Dec 8, 2015 on Hotels
Beds were uncomfortable, pillows were small and not very comfortable either. Bed appeared to have clean bedding and fresh towels. Found dead bug in bathroom. Breakfast was pretty good. We traveled with our pet so our choices were limited but not sure we'd stay there again if we could find something better.

Good location

Posted Dec 8, 2015
Pros: Location, breakfast, reasonable pet fee.
Cons: Appearance, physical plant
Location: Unsure of local attractions. Lots of places to eat nearby.
this was a good location for me since it is within a days drive of Central Florida/Disney area. The hotel itself is a bit worn and my room had an electrical problem preventing the use of laptop, alarm clock, chargers, etc. On the plus side, the hotel was clean, pet friendly and offered a surprisingly generous breakfast for a two star facility. I will be staying here again on my way back.
