Great place

Posted Jan 6, 2018
Everything was wonderful. The only negative is that there are three pubs close by. When these let out, it can be noisy for just a bit, but everyone seems to head for home quickly. They woke me up, but it did not have a.negative impact on my stay.

Shocking Service

Posted Dec 9, 2017 on Hotels
I stood at check in for 10 minutes with nobody around and had to go get the bartender in the restaurant to check me in. I then stayed from Monday to Friday (4 nights) and my room was only cleaned once! Good location but shocking service.

Our autumn stay

Posted Nov 15, 2017 on Hotels
Overall the stay was good but it could have been better. No one at the reception when we arrived, we had to go to the bar to ask for receptionist. When we went up to our room, it was very cold. The heater should have been on in advance when they knew the room is booked and the guest could arrive at any moment. No anti-slip matt in a bath, it was very slippery and dangerous to take a shower without it. They could end up in trouble if an accident happen, someone fell in the bath.

Dear Customer, As we are only a 16 bedroom hotel we do not have a full time receptionist therefore the barmen help out. Apologies about your room being cold we have heating that is on all the time and our guests have the option of having the heat in there room on or off. All our rooms are always provided with a bath mat. They are quite similar looking to the towels. Our cleaners ensure there is always one in each shower. Thank you for your advice we wish you all the best in your future travels.

Clean place to sleep.

Posted Oct 20, 2017 on Hotels
The room was clean and adequate, however we booked a family room expecting a double and a twin bed and the single (twin bed) turned out to be a rollaway stuck in the corner. This made the room cramped. We were VERY lucky to get a parking spot in the lot because it was VERY small and difficult to turn around in. We picked this hotel because we were traveling in a rental car and needed parking. Breakfast was affordable and very nice in the morning. Everything worked out fine, it just wasn’t exceptional.

Dear customer, Thank you for your review. unfortunately we are only a 16 bedroom hotel and we have only 2 family rooms. yes we have unlimited car spaces but there is street parking free of charge and also a larger car-park which is a two minute walk away. apologies if this was not convenient for you. We are glad you enjoyed our breakfast and wish you all the best on your future travels. Kind regards, The Coach House Hotel.

Good value but not a great place to stay.

Posted Oct 13, 2017 on Hotels
Good value. Sufficient as a stop over stop. Staff were friendly. Room was clean and sufficient but would want to stay longer than 1 night. Windows open up to the sky. Just as well as it over looks an old graveyard. Restaurant was value for food. Bar was small with only a small selection but staff were friendly. Car park is only small and can fill up as it is used by the restaurant guest. Get in before dinner time. Avoid road to Galway during peak traffic times as it gets very busy.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was not very nice with laminate flooring which i thought was grubby looking also when we had a shower the shower tray was filling up with water
