Heritage Dtay in Modern Singapore

Posted Nov 7, 2017
Such a restful haven away from the hustle and bustle. Gorgeous heritage hotel but on the MRT side their are many stairs, no problem for us but good to know if you have knee issues. Otherwise can't fault this glamorous lifestyle hotel. Tip Battlebox Tour a must do.

Nice hotel but over priced

Posted Nov 2, 2017
Every extra was over priced. It was so expensive to snack or drink in the bar that this was deserted leaving many of the communal areas lacking any atmosphere. Very photogenic hotel and surroundings but there are more central hotels in Singapore with better spec for similar or less expense.

Excellent hotel situated in leafy park surrounding

Posted Nov 1, 2017
Pros: The open park location. The hotel itself, excellent breakfast offerings and the 6-7pm complimentary self service drinks was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: Not the Hotels fault but for some the walk up the hill might be challenging, however the taxi services are readily available and very cost effective.
Location: Fort Canning Park - the Battlebox (must see) , the National Museum (must see), Flutes (fine dining) restaurant.
First class hotel and lived up to its Trip Advisor ratings. Staff excellent and informative. Will go back again.

Unique Colonial hotel in park oasis

Posted Oct 27, 2017
Not your standard hotel, more interesting to stay somewhere in the middle of a park, but still close to Clarke and Robertson quays. Pool setting is very tranquil. However some of the staff (especially dining room) are a bit unfriendly.

Nice secluded hotel with great links

Posted Oct 16, 2017
Coming into the hotel the staff from the offset were really helpful and make you feel welcomed. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel was nice and the rooms are large, they clean these on the regular and the food was really good also. If you wanted to venture out then there is good metro links which are approx 5/10min walk and from there Singapore is your oyster the metro runs on time and clean and there is stations within walking distance of all attractions. The city itself is clean and I would recommend to check out the temples which were aswsome. Our visit was during the F1 and this is walking distance which was really helpful. And the Marina Bay/suoertree groves is something to experience

Great hotel in convient location.

Posted Oct 14, 2017
Pros: The sense of history and grandeur.
Cons: The air-conditioning fan in the room was a bit noisy compared to other hotels we've stayed.
Location: Good location in the park, near the Museum and other central attractions.
Good food, drinks expensive, very clean. We enjoyed walking to the local attractions.

A very quiet hotel which would be good for a vacation. It's a beautifully renovated building in a very nice spot in Singapore.

Great boutique hotel in fantastic park setting

Posted Sep 19, 2017
Pros: The bedrooms, the service & the swimming pools. Breakfast was great too
Cons: Look at extending bar opening hours to at least midnight - particularly during F1 weekend
Location: You didn;t feel as though you were in the City but 5 mins walk and you were in buzzy districts with excellent cheap public transport on your doorstep.
A lovely boutique hotel so you don't feel like you staying in one of the bland big chains. 2 lovely swimming pools and gym looked great. Happy hour each evening was a novel idea and you could not fault the service of any of the staff. The only downside was finding that the hotel bar shut promptly at 11.00 which was odd, given majority of guests like myslef were attending the Singapore F1 night race and couldn't get back to the hotel until 11.00 A very relaxing stay in what felt like a rural retreat which was very close to the main city districts and shopping. Will definitely stay here again

Wonderful hotel in historic park

Posted Sep 19, 2017
The management & staff made every effort to ensure that we had an exceptional 7 night stay at this wonderful hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff from the doorman to the restaurant staff. A great, central location from which to explore Singapore & it's history.
