Absolutely awful - didnt have half amenities open
The service was terrible. We booked a room online that said SLEPT 4…. It was a queen sized bed, in a room with barely any walking room around the bed. Literally 2 people would have been squished, so we had to upgrade (since we had 2 children with us). Online it said that there were TWO restaurants on site (one was closed and they didn’t mention that).. online it also said they had childcare (they didnt) We were told free parking - it was 30 euro. No one spoke English. So frustrating. We were told we could walk to the hill with our 1 year old and 3 year old - it was absolute HELL and straight downhill . Our kids were so tired. To top it off, when we got to our new room that was a nice size, it only. Had 2 blankets in it (the single ones) and 2 pillows for the 4 of us. We ended up getting one more blanket and one more pillow after the first night. We also had an espresso machine in our room, but NO pods lol. It was laughable at this point. Very disappointing. The website should list all the limitations due to Covid. Will never return.

This is a lovely, lively hotel on the border with the Czech Republic. The rooms are ample, the beds are comfortable, and the surroundings are indescribably beautiful. We had a bit of a communications struggle, but everything worked out perfectly. The half-board is good and definitely worth it.

Very large hotel at the edge of town. Great views. Large dinner and breakfast buffets with plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good value for money.

Ahorn Hotels immer wieder gut mit Kindern
Ahorn Hotels sind immer wieder gut für Reisen mit kleinen Kindern. Es gibt den indoor Spielplatz, womit auch bei schlechten Wetter die Kinder toben können. Das Buffet zum Frühstück und Abends ist auch schön. Man hat ein eigenes Kinder-Buffet und eine Spielecke. Was mir im Hotel am Fichtelberg gefehlt hat sind Wickeltische in den öffentlichen Toiletten und in der Nähe des indoor-Spielplatzes. Die Zimmer sind eher pragmatisch und klein. Aber da ist man ja nur zum schlafen. Was auch noch aufgefallen ist, dass der Zimmerservice in der Mittagspause die Mülleimer und Handtücher wechseln wollte. Im Familienhotel muss mit schlafenden Kindern gerechnet werden.

Die direkte Lage am Skihang macht dieses Hotel so einzigartig. Leider sind die Zimmer und insbesondere die Bäder extrem klein. Auch das Essen war leider nur durchschnittlich. Auch dem immer noch anmutenden DDR-Charme könnte mal etwas zeitgemäße Moderne eingehaucht werden.

Værelse meget småt og meget varmt. Ikke hvad vi forventede af prisen, i forhold til hvad vi normalt betaler for hotel i den region. Morgensmads buffetten var god og med meget stort udvalg. Men vi tænker ikke at vi komme igen, alene værelset kontra prisen

Gelungener Aufenthalt mit köstlichem Essen :)
Es ist alter Bestand und das sieht man an manchen Ecken auch. Die Zimmer sind wirklich klein aber tip top sauber und nicht so hellhörig, wie man vielleicht meint. Das Essen war grossartig, riesige Auswahl und alles sehr lecker, egal ob Frühstück oder Abendbrot. Leider war der Saft ständig alle, da müsste eventuell öfter aufgefüllt werden. Wir werden gern mal wieder kommen!

Zimmergröße ist in Ordnung. Betten sehr schmal. Die angegebene Zimmerreinigung alle 2 Tage hat eine Woche lang gar nicht stattgefunden. Handtücher zweimal gewechselt. Servicekräfte zum Frühstück in den Spitzenzeiten komplett überfordert.

Normale 3 Sterne standert hotel in die Jahre gekommen. Was garnicht ging 15 uhr check in und wall nix fertig war erst 17:30 erst die Schlüssel fürs zimmer bekommen. Was gut war das Standart Buffet ob Frühstück oder Abendessen und reichlich Auswahl.

Sehr ordentlich, gepflegt und gästefreundlich.
Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich, auch Schwimmbad, Sauna und die allgemeinen Haus-Toiletten. Das Personal war sehr gästefreundlich und an der Rezeption sowie Info-Stand immer mit Rat und Tat zur Stelle. Das Hotel war aber auch kurz nach der Schließung noch wenig belegt. Großartiges Frühstück mit allem, was das Herz begehrt. Nur die Zimmer (normales Doppelzimmer) sind seeeehr klein und eng, im dazugehörigen Bad dürfte ein fülliger Mensch Probleme haben, mit meinen 50 Kg bin ich gerade so noch klargekommen.
