While we understand your frustration, please understand that you chose to book a no cancel reservation with Expedia where they gave you a lower rate but indicate a warning when you book that you can't cancel your stay or they will still charge for the whole thing. As a hotel, we do not have such policies and do not offer discounted stays without an option to cancel. We did try to contact you the day of your stay and were unable to reach you. Perhaps you told Expedia you were going to be a day late. I apologize as the hotel was not informed. We were still able to get you the same room type that you booked when you arrived. When you reported the room as unsatisfactory, we refunded all but the 1 night as that is the cancellation policy and by the time you let us know you would not be staying it was quite late. Staff and management did go to the room as you indicated you felt there was an odor, unfortunately it was not verified but we honored your refund as a courtesy and as we try to maintain positive relations with our guests. We apologize for the confusion you had with Expedia regarding the type of reservation you booked with them and their cancellation policy. We do understand that left an unhappy feel to your check in and affected how you felt about your experience over all. As we did not charge you the stay, we hope Expedia has compensated you as well.
