Brass Bell Cottage

Welcome to Brass Bell Cottage, located in Rockaway Beach! This gorgeous one story cottage boasts two bedrooms and one bath, perfect for up to six guests and your favorite pup! Located just three blocks from the beach, you'll have a wonderful time exploring the Rockaway Beach area, including restaurants and shopping just two blocks walking distance. If you're bringing the kids, be sure to visit the spacious Seaview City Park, just one block away. Park the car, grab your bags, and step inside your home away from home!

Upon entering, you'll find yourself in a cozy living room, complete with a couch, an armchair, a rocking chair, and a futon that doubles as a sleeping space. Gather around the TV with your loved ones, and pop in a movie. The owners have graciously stocked the home with DVDs for you to enjoy during your stay. Keep warm with the electric fireplace during those cold winter months. You'll also enjoy access to plenty of board games, streaming entertainment, a stereo system, and Wi-Fi. When night falls, be sure to lay down the futon for bed. Extra blankets and sheets can be found in a closet for your stay, or feel free to bring your own blankets from home.

Head into the next room, and you'll find yourself in the kitchen and dining area. You'll have space for everyone to gather at the table for a delicious home cooked meal. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up some quick and easy meals during your vacation, including plenty of pots and pans! Be sure to take advantage of the home's appliances, including a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, refrigerator, and oven/stovetop. The refrigerator and microwave can be found near the back of the kitchen, along with the washer and dryer. Feel free to pack light for your trip, and wash clothes as needed!

Right off of the kitchen, you'll find two bedrooms and the bathroom. The bathroom offers a shower/tub combo, decorated in a lovely blue, beach theme. Both bedrooms contain queen size beds, but offer two different themes. The bedroom on the left is a fisherman's paradise, decorated with a cute boating theme, including a wallpaper scene of some homes along the river. The second bedroom contains a Sleep Number bed, TV and is decorated with red, white, and blue. Both rooms offer plenty of natural light during bright, clear days on the Oregon coast.

Head outside, and you'll find a deck with a BBQ. There is also a fire pit in the yard, both are for guest use. Be sure to bring those ribs and veggies to grill, and enjoy some s'mores over the fire for dessert. Your favorite four legged friend will love staying at Brass Bell Cottage with you and your loved ones! While exploring the Rockaway Beach area, be sure to check out the unique shops and restaurants along Highway 101. You'll have to plenty to see and do here, but if you're looking for more fun, feel free to take a short drive south into Tillamook to take a tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Enjoy some pizza and ice cream after the tour in their one of a kind cafeteria! You could also head north up to Cannon Beach or Seaside. Seaside has a fun boardwalk to visit with the entire family, and you'll find an amazing arcade that's fun for the kids and adults in your group. It was a good place to stay. Front of house picture looks like the front yard is bigger. The house was located very close to the park which perfect for the 5 yeard old.

Super disappointed!
I was beyond disappointed by this experience! First, the house is overpriced. (i night stay over $400. due to extremely high fees added.) Secondly, we were texted just a couple of hours before the already late 4 pm check in to be told that we could not check in until 6 PM! When I called the office I was told that the house cleaner had tested positive with COVID and the house had to be recleaned. (When I asked if this meant house had COVID exposure they then changed the story to housecleaner getting the notification of being COVID positive just before she enterd the house. When we did arrive at 6 pm the house was hot and stinky, smelling of old seafood. We had to open all the windows to get the smell out! The WORST part was when we had to leave (Only 17 hrs later at 11 am.) Before we could even leave the house a woman comes to the door at 10:58, knocks and ENTERS the house without us even opening the door. I asked what was going on and was informed by this woman that "Check -out time is 11 am." When I pointed out that it was not even that time yet and my son was still usiong the bathroom before we left she just told me that "She went by HER schedule." as she simply proceeded to go past me into the house carrying towels. I have NEVER in my life had such a horrible experience renting a home for my family to use. I will NEVER use VRBO again and will probably recommend that my friends not do so also. I was told that I would recieve at least my cleaning fee as a refund,, honestly I feel we deserve most of the fees back. This place was a BAD experience!

Comfortable house, but junky neighborhood yards, YAPPY dogs next door, and one of the neighbors parked his truck in front of the rental (even had tires on the lawn!), making us have to park farther away instead of at the property. Never moved the vehicle the whole time we were there. Had to haul our luggage and ice chests from farther away--not fun!

It’s was a nice stay but upon arrival it was filthy with beds dirty , pee on the toilet and no sanitization at all. I had to goto the store and buy cleaning supplies and clean it before we were able to use it. Besides that it was a nice quiet stay close to the beach and walking distance from stores.

Great Cottage - *TERRIBLE* Management
I booked this last minute (24hrs in advance) to work from the coast during hazardous smoke in my area. I thought the cottage was even better in person. Lots of room for a two bedroom and great kitchen equipment if cooking. Definitely recommend if just considering the house. BUT.. I never received the check in email regarding full house information. I had to call the after hour line for the key code but they were unable to send me the info email and said they had to put in a request for the main office to do so. The larger issue was the sheet hanging inside the house with WiFi information was incorrect. So was unable to access the internet and the service inside the house was so bad I had to be outside for anything. Since I came here exclusively to work in the fresh air is was extremely stressful. The next morning no email was sent then called at 9am and 10am (on hold for 45 minutes both times) and they still said they had to put in the request to the main Office. Well, I NEVER got the email but thankfully found the router behind the loveseat and entered the info on the device for WiFi which worked. Feel badly for future renters as I meant to note on the sheet the info but forgot! Highly suggest the owners of this cute cottage reconsider working with Oregon Beach Vacations as their management company. I’ve never not received house information and think for Oregon Beach Vacation to never give a renter this information is unacceptable. We also had no idea what the check out rules, etc were. Felt too strongly not to write a review, which I normally am not in the habit of doing. Hopefully the owners will see this.
