A wonderful hotel right on the golf course

Posted Feb 16, 2017
Very cozy and tranquil hotel right on the golf course. The hotel staff were very nice. The hotel itself and room are very clean and many pictures of Arnold Palmer are throughout the hotel. The hotel is situated in a beautiful neighborhood but still very close to everything Picture perfect.

Can't beat it!

Posted Feb 14, 2017
Pros: Overall nice experience.
Cons: Room was freezing when we arrived. 60 degrees.
Location: Universal studios within 10 minutes.
Very nice room that was clean and comfortable. Shower head the worst as it had to much of a spray and couldn't change it. Too wide for the small shower space. Would have been nice to have a minibar as well. Food on premise very good and very pricey.

Close to International Drive, Orlando, FL

Pros: Clean room, great lounge.
Cons: More comfortable chairs in rooms. Also, a mini fridge would be nice to keep cold water, etc.
Nice, clean hotel. Staff pleasant. Close to amenities in Orlando, FL.

Undoubtedly my worst hotel stay EVER.

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: THE STAFF
The hotel was publishing the room at Expedia as Deluxe King bed. "Limited Time: Free spa access for 2". At my arrival I ask what exactly that entitles and does it usually cost extra money for guest to enter the spa. The front desk response was that the spa is always free for guests. My initial response was simply "So why is this advertised as 'Limited time free access' isnt that false advertising?". I did not take to much of a notice to it and was happy to go to my room and get some rest. Well they checked me in a double bed instead of the advertised and BOOKED Deluxe King. Coming back to the front desk they said that Expedia only sends them a request for a king and they give me what they have. THIS IS A 4 STAR RATED HOTEL. When i booked the room in Expedia it was booked as "DELUXE KING BED" not "DELUXE DOUBLE BED" so the hotel can chose their booking options at Expedia and could have shown me a double bed but chose to use FALSE ADVERTISING once again. After a 10 Min discussions with the front desk it was clear none where willing help or yet alone care. So back to the room to deal with an unhappy girlfriend. I checked in Late so the next day i came back to the front desk and asked to cancel my renaming 2 nights, checkout and get a refund for the remaining nights. Their words where "WE DO NOT PROVIDE REFUND YOU CAN CHECKOUT BUT WONT GET YOUR MONEY BACK" Please do yourself a favor DO NOT check in at this hotel, It is the most HORRIBLE travel experience I've every HAD

1) SPA Access... Most 4/5 star properties charge for Guests to simply enter their spa facility to use the hot tubs, sauna, steam room, gym, etc... We simply are promote the fact that we do not charge for this access... it is a very nice benefit. In fact we offer guests many complimentary amenities that 99% of other properties charge extra for: Lodge Room = includes: • No Resort Fee • No parking fee • No internet connection/daily use fee (wired or wireless) • No local phone charges. • Complimentary newspaper • Complimentary coffee stations in the lodge buildings every morning. • Complimentary Gym and Spa facility access 2) As for King Bed vs Double Beds... A king bed room is a "request" as only about 20% of our rooms are King rooms... So when a request is made, we try to accommodate, however, if not available... there is no solution other than to deliver our Deluxe Double room... most of the time we can accommodate, however, if a guest extends his stay, etc. it can alter inventory we anticipated having available due to circumstance beyond our control... We will however always do the best we can to accommodate all requests. I will review how this is being presented in Expedia to be sure there is no misunderstanding, 3) As for cancellation... since your reservation was made through Expedia, any and all alterations to the reservation have to be done through Expedia... this is also beyond our control... you book, pay and agree to their terms, and we -like you- are bound by whatever agreement, price, cancellation terms, etc that you made with them. That is why our staff indicated that we could not cancel anything on our end... this has to be done through Expedia and if there is a refund due they have to authorize it and they will pay it to you. That's simply how it works when you use a 3rd party to book your hotel.

Bay Hill is fantastic as expected

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Pros: Only one thing....EVERYTHING!
Cons: Food service was slower than it should have been. 40 minute wait for entree is too long
Location: Close to everything (within 20 minutes) other restaurants and International Drive Convention Center 10 minutes away.
This was my fourth stay. As always, everything was great. It is a casual, warm setting, nice accommodations, great golf atmosphere and golf course. Also has a nice Spa and heated pool. Food was excellent. Service good but a little on slow side. The staff is fabulous and knows how to treat you as a guest. Mr. Palmer would be proud. When I stay in Orlando it is the only place to be. Not a resort for younger children as they should be at Disney properties. Location is quiet and close to most Orlando attractions.

Pros: Easy check in...parking, beautiful setting...
Cons: The hotel will need a bit of a re-fresh soon...paint...new decor i.e. fabric, furnishings,upholstery...love the low key vibe...
Location: location is great! Quiet...residential but near all theme parks if that is on your agenda...I was visiting family, so it worked out perfectly...
I have stayed at the Bay Hill now a few times, and I love the casual warm feeling of the place and the staff couldn't be nicer. I am not a golfer, but I can appreciate the beauty of the rolling greens right out my window...There is a lot of activity on the course, starting very early in the morning. I was here over Christmas, and I had the whole place to myself...so tranquil, and quiet! I loved it! It is too bad that the "hotel" is not dog friendly...but I do understand how that could be a problem with dogs chasing after golfers or golf balls! LOL...I wish the Lobby had a casual lounge area...I felt a bit intimidated as a single woman hanging out in the "grill" room...but it reminds me of Country clubs of my childhood...so I can't complain! Food was very good...

Thanks for staying with us. We work hard to make our guests happy and appreciate your feedback! In addition to the "grill" we have the baywindow and members lounge for you to relax in... be sure to try out these outlets next time you stay with us... As for renovations, they are ongoing... We are constantly updating and renewing the facility. Just a few months ago all the soft goods in the rooms were replaced... mattresses, bedding, towels, etc... The resteraunt was upgraded with some lovely outdoor seating areas, the Members Lounge had a total re-do... from walls, ceiling, furnishings, etc... It is however designed to look "traditional" and may not seem or look new... but it is... That's just the way Mr. Palmer liked it... We will continue to maintain and improve Mr. P's beloved Bay HIll and hope you'll come back to see for yourself... THANK YOU for staying with us~!!

Still lovely and quiet

Posted Dec 5, 2016
Pros: The location and the lodge-like feel of the rooms and the property.
This was my third stay at this hotel and with the exception of the lady who checked me in, the place was wonderful. Just off the path of all of the hoopla of the themed parks and I-Drive, but close to everything. Very quiet, adult-oriented place. One thing that we didn't like was that we reserved a "king" room through Expedia but got a room with two full-sized beds instead.

Thanks for staying with us. We work hard to make our guests happy and appreciate your feedback! With only a limited number of King rooms, we do our best to accommodate every request, however, sometimes people extend their stay and a room we thought would be available remains occupied and limits our options.. Hope you'll give us another opportunity and stay with us again inthe future.

Best for golfers

Posted Dec 2, 2016
If you like to grub your clubs from room and hit ball in practice range or putting on the green, just in front of your room at Arnold Palmer course, the best is booking play with breakfast accommodation directly to the lodge. If you like to play another course at Orlando but extended stay at Bay Hill, get room by Expedia.
