Quaint, but dated hotel convenient to DowntownPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Convenience to downtown. Spacious room
Cons: Who still has tube TVs?! Clean coffee pot and mug each day.
Location: On the fringe of downtown. Convenient to tollway.
The room was extremely spacious, but far from luxurious. Clean enough, although housekeeping did not clean out the coffee pot after my first night. The grounds and breakfast facility have lots of character. Walking distance to a number of restaurants if you do not mind walking 8-10 blocks.

Dated but charmingPosted Jun 30, 2015
The hotel is in a nice location but the rooms are dated. I think they wanted to keep it that way to keep the charm but they just look dated. The breakfast is alright but you don't really stay in Dr. Phillips house, you stay in an old apartment building right next door.

Mini-Get-AwayPosted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: The charm and location of the property.
Location: Downtown area close to restaurants and shopping...within walking distance.
My wife and I are both retired. Took a few days to do a get away. Wanted to do Orlando downtown area and experience something different. Lake Lucerne seemed like ideal stop over. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very conveniently located and the property is truly beautiful. Outstanding accommodating staff!!!! Definitely recommend.

Beautiful rooms and antiques. Lovely breakfast!Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: The old house is just beautiful and the antiques are amazing! Breakfast was yummy too!
Cons: I had a heavy bag, and there is no way up but the spiral staircase. That was a bit of a hassle, but next time, I will know to pack light!
Location: The Phillips Center is near by and it looked like a lot of other stuff to. I liked that it was a quick trip to I4.
I had no idea what I was booked for. The internal courtyard is amazing and beautiful. It was like stepping out of downtown Orlando into a different time!

Feels like a Key West B&B in Downtown OrlandoPosted Mar 21, 2015 on Hotels
Free parking, wifi, and breakfast make the great rate I got look even better. Staff was very friendly and the grounds are beautiful. There is a gorgeous courtyard with plenty of seating, a koi pond, etc. Feels like a Key West Bed & Breakfast but in downtown Orlando. Our room clearly hasn't been updated in a while but it was massive. The bathroom had two separate sinks, a bidet,a stand up shower, plus a huge two-person jacuzzi tub. I would highly recommend staying here.

Little oasis away from homePosted Mar 20, 2015 on Hotels
Loved it! I like being off the beaten path but still close to everything. This hotel was like a little oasis from the city. I love the historic hotel feel, modern upgrades and beautiful courtyard gardens. Great breakfast out on the veranda :) Would definitely recommend!

What a terrific find - can't wait to go back!Posted Mar 15, 2015 on Hotels
We really enjoyed this B&B - absolutely adorable & quaint - excellent service & hospitality! Great location. They offer a Happy Hour in their parlor & you can sit on their veranda - beautiful Courtyard & the Houses (4) were decorated with many Antiques & all Victorian style ! We felt like we were in that era. To top off all these wonderful things, they offered free wifi, free parking & an excellent breakfast in their Grey House which has a large porch overlooking their Courtyard. The staff was extremely personable & the B&B was very clean & kept up beautifully. The room we had even had a Sun Porch overlooking the small Lake which had a nice fountain. What a great find! Was a perfect location, walking distance to the Theater & downtown.

Great hotel at an exceptional price.Posted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: It was clean. It was conveniently located to the downtown district.
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Location: The location was convenient to the downtown area and in particularly the performing arts center which is just across the street.
There are three residences at this hotel, two victorian and one art deco. The reservation process was quick and easy. The room we stayed in was in the art deco building. The furnishings were good and period-appropriate.
