Disappointing--even for a cheap, 2.5 star hotel.

We had an overnight layover in Orlando, so we needed a place to crash for about 16 hours. We booked this room because it was supposedly near the airport, offered an airport shuttle and had decent enough reviews (and was inexpensive).
Well, despite having "Airport" in the name, this place was not near the airport. It was about a half hour drive to get from the airport to the hotel (with about a 20 minute wait for the shuttle to get there).
At least the place was clean and comfortable...Wrong again. The bed was one of the least comfortable I've ever been on. There were stains on the ceilings and the plumbing in the bathroom felt like it was going to fall through the wall at any moment. There were bugs in the room and nothing about the room was inviting or comfortable.
Thankfully, they have that shuttle so we could get back to the airport for our flight, right? Nope. First thing the lady told me was they'd have to call me a cab because the shuttle doesn't run early in the morning
The people that worked there were plenty nice. They were friendly and helpful, so at least there's that.
I've stayed at my fair share of budget motels/hotels, but, I'd never stay here again. I'd gladly pay the 25% more to stay at a decent hotel that is actually on the airport. It is possible to stay at comfortable place for pretty cheap--this place isn't it. If you wanted to be in this area, there's 3 places on the other side of the highway that looked much more acceptable.
