Good hotel for the price

Posted Aug 30, 2015
While our room was small and it took some walking to get to the main desk and transportation, it had a great atmosphere and served the purpose of sleeping in while we stayed at Disney. The food was mediocre but was in line with the theme of the specific resort.

It is our first time here. The check in building is very nice and beautiful. The staff looks very efficiency. They helped us set up a link with our magic band. But we were told that there are only grey, no other color. It is not true, you know. The air condition really is efficiency and good. When you went back, you feel really nice. The bed is so so. The shower is great, but a small place. Value the price, I think. They have lot of rooms. like a university. Big place and lots of buildings, lots of rooms. You need to look at the map to find your building. The shelter to parks is great. We'd like to ride it everyday to the park. It is easy and you don't need to think of anything. Just waiting, waiting.

Pros: The resort had 3 pools and it had freshly cooked good food. Gift shop was great . Staff was very attentive to fix any problems promptly.
Cons: The decor is a little dated but it possibly goes with the theme.
Location: Resort was close to the theme parks and also to downtown Disney...basically close to everything.
Staying at a Disney Resort was a great experience. It was wonderful to shuttle everywhere We needed to go without having to move the car. It also offers magic hours on some days. We had a great time, will come again.

The Disney Resort Experience at a Great Value

Posted Aug 28, 2015
Pros: Other than the Art of Animation, Pop Century is one of the best "Value" resorts on property. There are wide open areas, and the staff is great.
Cons: When there are peak rush times (park close, after fireworks), I wish they would run busses more frequently from the parks back to the resorts.
Location: With close proximity to I4 and 192, you can head off property to do shopping at near outlets.
Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is always better than staying off property. The time saving benefits alone are worth the extra few bucks a night. We checked in advance online a few days prior to our arrival. Although check in time was at 3PM, we were able to get into our rooms at 10AM due to our early flight. Everything is smooth sailing here, the food court has lots of offerings, although they do close at Midnight. This could be a slight nuisance when there are extra magic hours until 2AM and you can not refill your mug when coming back after midnight. Bell services held our bags on the day of our check out until we were ready to depart on the Magical Express back to the airport. I would definitely recommend Pop Century / Art of Animation over the All Star Resorts.

Like a motel

Posted Aug 27, 2015
The good thing about this hotel is food court and close to Universal studio, Disney's two water parks, animal kingdom. Not far from Epcot and downtown Disney. Be careful when you check in, the hotel staff was trying to give us a room far from food court and bus stop which you have to walk a long way in and out. The hotel is old, the room is very very small ! With two double bed, the 2nd bed was just one foot close to door !!!!! I've never felt so itchy on my body after sleep there for 8 nights. Also not enough tower and hair shampoo with two young kids. Overall, this hotel can only fits two people. Even my kids don't like the hotel (8 & 11). For next time, I will try Disney animation hotel which is just next door.

Was given a room with king bed for 3 people.

Was given room with king size bed for 3 people. There was no parking lot anywhere near our hotel building. Wound up walking a mile at night. In the dark. Poorly lit.

Good location, clean hotel. Bus service was slow to arrive. Food court very crowded at times. Front desk was very attentive.
