Nice hotel

Pros: Cleanliness and shuttle
Location: It is located right off I 4 in Downtown Orlando. You don't hear the noise from I 4 at all
I rented this room to be near the Plaza live theater. They have a shuttle that will take you there other near places near by. But the shuttle stops at 10:30 so you have to cab it back, but its only about 10$ with tip. This time was amazing, because when my daughter and walked into the lobby, the band we were coming to see was sitting there. Very cool. They were pretty nice too. (Gaelic Storm) We do this trip every year and the hotel never fails us. Great place. Nice bar. Good food. VERY GOOD TIME

Needs work

Our rate included parking but they charged us anyway. The bathroom door wouldn't close and the bathtub didn't work. They leave ear plugs in your room because the train is so loud. Not a good experience.

Go elsewhere!

Pros: Hotel transportation to downtown.
Cons: Fire the manager and hire one who can make good things happen for all guests.
I attempt to book adjoining rooms; it can't be done during booking! So I call the hotel right after booking two rooms to request adjoining rooms. They tell me that you cannot request adjoining rooms until you check in! I check in and request adjoining rooms and they still cannot grant my request. They tell me that the hotel is full. They put my family on a whole separate floor than my room! The room I get is an adjoining room and nobody used the room next to mine! Hotel full? I know this because we knocked on the door next to mine several times to check if someone actually checked into that room. I called the desk to talk with the manager. It is the manager's job to fix things just like that. He cannot fix it! "There's nothing I can do!" I won't be back!

I wouldn't recommend this hotel

We recently stayed at the Doubletree in Victoria (Canada) and had such an amazing experience that we booked this Doubletree in Downtown Orlando. The lobby was decent (clean and somewhat renovated), but the rooms were just short of disgusting. We booked 3 rooms and all 3 smelled of mold and dampness. There were stains and chipped paint all over the place. The staff at the restaurant couldn't have been more kind, but unfortunately, the staff at the front desk didn't seem to care much that we were unable to sleep all four nights because of major construction going on right next to the hotel (there were bright construction lights blaring into our rooms on top of the horrendous noise). They claimed not to know about the construction, which is pretty doubtful, considering that they had left earplugs on our night stands for us before we arrived. In short, I wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone.

Nice Hotel with easy access to walking paths

Only negatives are pay for parking, no food provided, and other little things you get at the less expensive hotels. Corner rooms offer great windows

Stayed here for a wedding downtown, not located within walking distance of most places and somewhat difficult to drive in and out of. Rooms were older, but the bed was comfortable. Bathroom could use some work. For the price, it was manageable.

Terrible management, unfriendly staff

The hotel was ok, but there was a problem with our reservation and the manager would not speak to us. The staff was unhelpful and did not smile, welcome us, or ever thank us for being guests.
