When I check in, I end up having to ask them to change the bed linen as it had hair that was not mine, I found the same in the bathtub. The rooms and halls were recently renovated you can tell, unfortunately I often found trash outside the doors and the elevator was always stain and dirty. Probably due to the long stays they have in the hotel

Had to repeatedly request for them to clean our room- I was told they would clean every 7 days- finally told to just forget it and I cleaned the room. Even though my parents had already paid for the room, they said someone had to pay a registration fee of $25, next thing I know they have charged my card for $350.88 and $375.88. After an heated discussion, they finally adjusted the bill. I will not stay there again. Cynthia C.

What a nice surprise! I tend to avoid "extended stay"-type places; I generally find them to be pretty spartan. This MainStay was great! I understand that the building was recently remodeled, and everything in my room was nice and clean and bright. The staff is exceptional; from my initial greeting from Carmen (I am badly misspelling his name) and the added welcome from Yvette, the GM, everyone I met was SUPER friendly and welcoming -- even one of the maintenance crew greeted me with a big smile and a warm "Good morning, sir!" Nice location is quick to the highway but in a quiet place with plenty of parking. I usually prefer hotels that serve breakfast, but the full kitchen that is available--even with dishes!--makes no breakfast a non-issue, and there are both restaurants and fast food stops very close. PLUS the rate is great! I highly recommend this MainStay and would definitely stay here again.

Changed rooms three times due to cleanliness issues. So bad I checked out and requested refund. No reason a bathroom cannot be cleaned properly if you want guests to patron your establishment

The floors in the lobby and entry and first floor were really dirty. Including a dirty elevator. The second floor was much better. I was surprised that there was not an electric door opener from the lobby to outside. The room is clean but has a mildew smell. Kitchen appliances appear in good repair, but getting a little dated.

Pros: It was convenient for an overnight stay as the midpoint between MCO to our final location the next morning in Mt Dora. Front desk was very friendly. Clean rooms, pleasant paint palette throughout. Cons: We did need to ask for bedding for the sofa sleeper. The coffee maker didn’t work, but we were in a hurry so didn’t ask for replacement. No breakfast The parking lot was dirty, with trash/food strewn about. Given the location and considering it was the beginning week of Spring Break, the price was comparable to others in the area.

The hotel is undergoing renovation. My room on the 2nd floor had recently been renovated and was in great shape. My room had a lot of space and also had a great place to work from while I was in the hotel. The staff was super nice and the only "bad" thing about the hotel was its proximity to the interstate (I-4).

Front desk staff very helpful and lovely. The room was unpleasant with dirty counters, sheets that looked unclean with a number of black specks and hair and dirty coffee pot. The cabinets in kitchenette were loose and didn’t close and more worrisome the security latch was loose and did not hold closed

I reserved this room for an employee, I did not stay there. But, as soon as he checked in, he found his room to have a bad smell so requested another room. The management gave him another room, but the second room was very dirty. I won't go into the details, but was completely unacceptable. Because I booked the room via Expedia and had paid in full for his stay, they would not give me a refund so he had to stay there the full week. He was given a 3rd room, which was only marginally better and by then his confidence in the hotel was nil. In addition to the issues with the rooms, the general manager was not sympathetic and basically told him too bad. I have employees who travel to this area often, but will never book in this hotel again. Although the rest of the hotel was ok, lack of cleanliness of the rooms is non-negotiable. Do better.

The location was convenient. Staff was nice and friendly. The floors were dirty, it smelled dirty, the room smelled, appliances were completely outdated and dirty, and bathroom floors had ants. It’s fine in a pinch but not somewhere I would recommend.

I'm a Travel Nurse. I stayed there so I could be close to the hospital as I was on-call for my department that night. I was pleased with my stay. Room was spacious and clean. Bed and pillows were soft. If the price remains the same I will absolutely stay each time I'm on call.

Pet friendly rooms are on the 3rd floor walking the dogs down the hall from the 3rd to the 1st smelt absolutely horrible. 5 Dogs running around without leases. The room smelt horrible as well no phone in the room to call the front desk. Night time guy at front desk was not nice when ask to change rooms.

The only two issues I had were that they do not offer everyday housekeeping and that our heater did not work. Besides that, there was great customer service and a spacious, clean, and quiet room.

Rooms are very comfortable, and will most likely stay there again next time we’re working in Altamonte Springs. Only negative was checking out in the morning. Had to be on a job site at 8, and there was no one at the desk to take our keys. Might be a good idea to have a dropbox for keys for early checkouts.

Bed was small. I reserved a king bed and ended up with a full-size bed. My wife and I had a lot of trouble sleeping. Pillows were small and offered little support. Towels were small. Everything was minimal. Elevator broke the last day we were there. Shower had a leak and dripped the entire time. Fridge in room was noisy.

My fly was delayed and I arrive to the hotel at 2 am. The front desk told me that because I arrived that late my booking was canceled by not showing. The lady help me with another reservation and charge me again, I accept because I was late and I dont have any place to sleep. Now I pay twice with to stay in the same place, she told me thwt the system will release the transaction that I pay with Expedia because It the one that the system canceled

Toilet didn’t work in our room. Room smelled terrible. Pubic hairs coated the bathroom. Asked for towels, they made us take them towels, yes take dirty towels to them, to receive 2 new towels for 4 people in the “suit” as they called it. It was disgusting.

The worst
This was the very worst stay I've ever had. A sign in lobby stated that it was a smoke free zone - not. Room very smelly and not really clean. I made a request for an adjoining room in advance and hotel didn't accommodate my request. The worst.

The property itself was clean and the room hygenically clean, the beds were super comfortable as was the linen.I must say that there was a funky smell in the passages and rooms. I am sensitive to smell, so maybe I'm being too sensitive but yes it really bothered me. It was under renovation which was fine, I did not hear noise. There is no breakfast

The hotel was under construction which was fine. I was not around much during the day. They did not collect your garbage. You had to throw your garbage out in a dumpster across the parking lot. It was a nonsmoking facility. The elevator and hallways smelt like cigarette smoke and marijuana. My suitcase smelled like cigarettes and marijuana when I came home. On a good note, the room had a full kitchen and appliances.

They changed me again after i already paid Travelocity. It took 3 days fo them to fix and refund my money. I was not very happy
