Family of 6 and our English Bulldog...

Posted Oct 11, 2016
When I called I got Elaina and she was excellent. Super helpful as we scrambled away from Hurricane Matthew with 4 kids. They don't allow pets but made exceptions because of the storm and I'm pretty sure he left as their mascot. The restaurant was yummy and kids got to eat free with coupons. Our first time as a family in a hotel with two beds and we did fine. Kids liked the fitness center but I disliked the shower water temperature max. We also got hot in the room with the a/c at max but there's a lot of us. I'd stay there again if we took a trip Orlando. The UCF/Waterford Lakes area especially.

We so enjoyed having your family stay with us. You are quite right, your English Bulldog was a hit at our property. It is a wonderful feeling knowing that we were able to offer your family so comfort and reassurance during Hurricane Matthew. We hope you returned home to find that the storm passed by your home without incidence. We are sorry to hear that you experienced an issue with the air conditioner and water temperature during your stay. I will be sure to alert our maintenance team so it can be corrected. We look forward to your next visit. Sincerely, Amber G. Administrative Assistant

Not bad, but noise ruined our stay

Posted Oct 8, 2016
Pros: clean
Cons: staff
Location: 5 min of driving to Waterford Lakes Plaza.
This is a good 3-stars hotel, the room was very clean and well decorated. But our stay was ruined by construction work that was going on exactly above our room: we had to tolerate the noise up until 11.15 PM! Having a little kid and elderly person in the room - it was a nightmare. I think every hotel must be obligated to post on its website a notice about under-construction condition, so travelers with kids wouldn't be trapped and could book a quiet hotel. P.S.: front desk staff could be more friendly. We were evacuated from the hurricane zone, were stressed and tired - didn't hear a word of kindness from the staff.

We would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay. The noise level was a direct result of preparing the hotel for Hurricane Matthew. We apologize that the noise added to the stress of having to evacuate your home. We sincerely hope that your home made it through the hurricane with no damage and all of your friends and family are safe. Again, we apologize for the poor experience and we hope for the opportunity to make this up to you the next time you are in the area. Sincerely, Amber G. Administrative Assistant

We loved this hotel! It was close to our families home, and nothing is ever close in orlando! The staff was great! The hotel was really clean! But unfortunately... the pool was closed for maintenance...

The staff who checked me in and out were great. They were very nice and efficient. When I got to the room it was a little warm, and there was small roach in the bathroom when I turned the light on. Other than that the place was fine.

I am so glad to hear that you had such a wonderful experience with our team, but I am alarmed that you encountered issues in your room. We have alerted our pest control service on the issue in the guest bathroom and they are taking the necessary steps to correct the problem. Thank you for pointing out the room temperature on check-in. This is an area that we can focus on with our housekeeping team to ensure it does not happen in the future. We appreciate you taking the time to bring these issues to our attention. It allows us to constantly improve our product and team. We hope the next time you are in the UCF area you will visit us again, at which time I am confident we will not only meet, but exceed your expectations. Sincerely, Amber G. Administrative Assistant

Nice and newly remodeled.

Posted Aug 9, 2016
Pros: Newer facility - helpful staff
Cons: Better coffee makers and coffee.
Location: Near UCF campus and restaurants and shopping.
Nice remodeled room in clean modern facility with restaurant and bar. Staff was friendly and helpful and the location was very near the UCF campus on a very busy main street.

Dear Mike, I am glad that our location helped to make your trip to the UCF campus so convenient. Thank you for your wonderful comments on our on-site restaurant, the Alafaya Garden Bar & Bistro. You will be happy to learn that since your visit we have replaced all of the in-room coffee makers with Keurigs. We hope to see you again when your travels bring you to East Orlando or back to the University of Central Florida.

Nice hotel close to UCF

Posted Jul 22, 2016
Pros: It was clean and kept very cool.
Cons: coffee and cookies in the lobby. Less noise
Location: Close to UCF and shopping. Location is great!
This hotel was nice. Doesn't offer the usual coffee in the lobby like most. Breakfast isn't included either. The room was clean and comfortable. The outlet didn't work in the bathroom or the coffee station, but they sent someone up immediately to fix it. It is right next to a main street so you do hear the noise from the cars outside. Stayed there to attend orientation for my daughter. It was pleasant enough. Didn't have too much interaction with the staff, so i can't elaborate on that too much.
