tiny rooms not enough for families with children

Posted Jan 18, 2017
Pros: none
Cons: broken closet door that caused an accident
We booked this hotel through Expedia.com when it came up as the 2nd cheapest. Of course we couldn't see the resort fee on top of the "discounted" room rate (not displayed in the search result!) The unit is a one-bedroom with a separate sleeping area with two twin beds. Both the bedroom and the sleeping area are so small that there is barely enough room for turning around and not hitting the bed(s). There is only one tiny closet in the entire unit. The closet has a folding door that also serves as a full size mirror. Unfortunately in our unit that door didn't close completely and the edge of the mirror was exposed. Early in the morning, our 4-year-old boy fell from the bed during his sleep and rolled over on the floor. His left ear hit the exposed edge of the mirror and immediately started bleeding. Fortunately the cut was only half an inch and superficial. We asked guest service for a first aid kit. Ten minutes later a security representative came and said that there was no first kit available! He gave us the only two antibiotic cream pouches he had. We found that the cream actually expired more than one month ago (September 2012)! When complaint to, the front desk of course denied any wrong-doing from the hotel but kindly offered a late-checkout as a "courtesy". Oh, there were lots of ants in the room and we were also greeted by a huge caterpillar on the living room carpet. Maybe they are part of a "kids-friendly" theme? Parents be warned!

Dear monkeyking, Thank you so much for staying with us and taking the time sharing your feedback. I hope you had a chance to enjoy some of our amenities. I would like to extend my sincere apologies for any inconvenience and for not meeting your expectations. I hope your child is doing well. Our two bedrooms kid suite are 485 SQF, which is more spacious than any regular hotel room in the area. Also none of our suite have twin beds in the kids room, all of our two bedrooms are with Bunk Bed. I hope you had a chance to reach a management team at time of your stay. Once again, thank you for staying with us and look forward to restoring your faith. Kind regards, Mkahramane

Very Classy For The Price!

Posted Jan 18, 2017
This hotel is priced very reasonably and the cost is nothing compared to the experience and facilities. The rooms have just the right amount of space and room service was great! Checkin was a bit tedious and you have to pay for parking, but the grounds are extremely secure. Security guards were always seen! I totally enjoyed my time there!

fun for the kiddies

Posted Jan 18, 2017
Pros: the private sliming experience. kids on stage getting slimed, justlike on tv!
Location: beautiful orlando,florida
the hotel is fun for the whole family. breakfast time was easy as long as you choose the buffet. the sit down buffet is not an option unless you make reservations. dinner time is reservations only as well! the hotel rooms could use some upgrades, our rooms bathroom was in dire need of a new countertop. we had a room with bunk beds for the kids that I wouldn't allow them to sleep in because they looked dangerously unstable. all in all, it was a fun place, a little pricey but worth it if your kiddies loves nick. we also did the private sliming experience, it was the best time for my kids. again, pricey but worth it. they will remember this trip forever.

Not as expected

Posted Jan 18, 2017
The only good thing we liked was the good and helpful staff. We stayed there for 6 nights and till the last day we were getting lost every time we get out of the room (THERE'S NOT ENOUGH DIRECTION & EXIT SIGNS). We even couldn't get to the adult pool because we didn't know how to get there. This is NOT a hotel system, it's more like a MOTEL system, especially with the pool closing at 9:00 p.m, and they don't even let you sit around the pool, every thing is closed in that area after 9. So we really could spend these money somewhere else more beautiful and more as a real hotel. (TOO MUCH MONEY FOR PLACE DOESN'T DESERVE IT). The water in the water park was TOO COLD. When we asked them about Walt Disney World tickets, they gave us a good deal but we had to go on a trip in order to get that deal. This was terrible, they said it's going to be only one hour and a half, but when we went there, they kept us for 5 hours talking about time share, it was such a headache until they finally gave us the tickets for Disney. When we booked, it was saying suite with a king bed, but the room we got it didn't have a king bed, it was a queen bed.

Dear Naomi, Thank you so much for staying with us and taking the time sharing your feedback. I am delighted to hear you were very pleased our friendly staff. I would like to extend my sincere apologies for any inconvenience during your visit. I am sorry to hear you kept getting lost despite all of the Hotel maps by each of the elevators, by the lobby area, by the pools entrance as well as by the market place as well. I do apologize about the hours of operations for the pool did not meet your needs during your visit. We have Guest Services desk manned by Expedia where our guests are able to purchase all attractions tickets and assist with any of the activities around the Central Florida area, they are no discount offered here. While if you choose to do the tour through Orange Lake Vacation Club, there is a big saving but once again, you would need to attendant the presentation. Your comments would be shared with their management team to further follow up with your comments. I hope you had the opportunity to bring your concerns to us while here. Thank you again for staying with us and look forward to restoring your faith. Kind regards, Mkahramane

I was expecting more

Posted Jan 18, 2017
Pros: Pool
Cons: Room
Location: Good location
Room is too small, I asked for upgrade and they told me to pay extra $200.00 per night, and I paid to Expedia around $270.00 and honestly is NO way to pay almost $500.00 per night for this hotel

Dear Oscar, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time sharing your feedback. I am delighted to hear you were very pleased with our waterpark and hope you had a chance to enjoy all of our amenities. I would like to extend my sincere apologies for any inconvenience and for not meeting your expectations. Our two bedrooms kidsuites as mentioned on our website are 485SQF, while our three bedrooms kidsuites which features, two master bedrooms, two full size bathrooms, a full kitchen with stove top, living room area, kids room area, a dining area, is double the size, depending on the season and demands these type of suites would go at a higher price, and the price given was most likely with taxes. I am sorry to hear you were not pleased and look forward the opportunity to restoring your faith. Thank you. Kind regards, Mkahramane

Great if you have little kids but not teenagers...

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Per our Expedia description, we reserved a two bedroom family suite. We got a one bedroom suite that had a small room with bunk beds - no door. The bunk beds were small and not meant for teens. (Expedia asks age if children at booking.) The hotels response was that they could have slept on the pull out couch. For $200, I expect a door- not a couch. Read the fine print. Don't expect to feed your teens with the free breakfast option either. Disappointed

Dear Matt, Thank you so much for staying with us and for taking the time sharing your feedback. I hope you were able to enjoy some of our amenities. I would like to extend my sincere apologies for any inconvenience in regards to your reservations. Our two bedrooms suite is exactly as you described it. Due to County Code we are unable to place doors in the kids' room. The suite sleeps up two six people including the pullout sofa bed. In regards to the breakfast, as mentioned on the website, it is only for two people and not for the entire family. Once again, please accept my sincere apologies for any miss-understanding upon booking and look forward the opportunity to restoring your faith. Kind regards, Mkahramane

Very comfortable beds!!

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Nice hotel, looks like recently been redecorated. I had brand new towels. My bathtub had sand in it, and my comforter was missing the sheet underneath . Overall after rinsing the bathtub and arranging the sheets I had a very pleasant experience. The bed was so comfortable ! And the staff very very nice.

Booked on Expedia-Twice in Error-Wouldn't Refund

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Pros: Great Staff!
Cons: Cancellation policy, especially since I was staying there for 5 nights,
During booking and the final stages there was an error and my browser and it shut down, thinking it didn't go through I rekeyed all my information, Expedia was great, they notified me to tell me it went through twice, and so they cancelled our over booked flight and car rental, but stated the hotel wouldn't refund us for the mistake. Disappointing - not sure I'd stay there again, not because of the staff - they were great - but because of the lack of compassion to reverse the second booking. We stayed there, they should have been more understanding that it was simple an error, and should have reimbursed/cancelled the second suite.

Close to all Disney. Decent amenities

Posted Jan 11, 2017
Pros: Nice setup of room. Separate bedroom from kids area
Cons: Poolside bar to be open longer Housekeeping to come everyday and at a reasonable time Elevator was hit or miss & very slow
Location: Great location. Close to Disney
Overall decent place Housekeeping was hit or miss, we stayed for a week and they would only come every second day and very late in the day. I had to call front desk to request them to come everyday. (They were supposed to come everyday but didn't) Pool was nice. Waterslides and kids splash area, the water was very cold and because of this we didn't use. Poolside bar is only open until 6pm. Elevator was hit or miss, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. When it did work it took forever. Not fun walking up 6 floors after long day
