Close to Universal, good breakfast, thin walls

I stayed with a friend here for a weekend with a dog. Love that there are no pet fees! Everyone was nice behind the front counter and quick to answer questions. They have a second separate building, that looks like it used to be its own hotel, and we received a room in that building. Cons; The doors to the second building didn't always lock, or would lock but the door was open so then it wouldn't close, that was a little bit unnerving. You had to walk from one building to the main one to get breakfast, not a huge deal, but not the most convenient. The walls were very thin, this was only a problem the first night when we heard every drunken guest come in from 12 am to 3 am and with doors slamming and talking down hallways it was hard to sleep, not to mention this apparently woke up our neighbors dog, who would bark, then causing our dog to bark. You could also hear the cars drive by outside. Pros; super close to the parks, literally a 4 min drive, maybe a 30 min walk if you were really feeling it. Breakfast was good no eggs but waffles, sausage, bagels, fruit etc. Shuttle looked like it was on time. Room was clean, couldn't get the a/c fan to stay on (thought it might help with the noise outside) but it worked well. The floors were laminate which is great because for a pet friendly hotel because there were no lingering smells All in all a good choice for the money (70/night) compared to other hotels in the area.

nice hotel, close to universal

Pros: close to universal.
beds were very comfy, room had been redone recently, I liked the laminated floor in room instead of carpet. Loved the fact that it is pet friendly.

Unpleasant

The room had a funky odor. The shower fixtures were loose and hard to turn. There were no towel bars or hooks. Only decaf coffee in the room.

This hotel was great for the price , loved our room , front desk was great , would for sure stay here again , also very close to universal which was A plus . The bathroom was pretty nice sized only bad thing was the elevator is slow and very warm inside , I loved the decor of our room and the beds were very comfy , it smelled and felt clean inside the room , the night time was quiet as it should be no distracting noise , tv and fridge and microwave was very updated and nice , made it easier to have my daughter with me and to store our food and drinks and her snacks it also helped out that we had the free breakfast so we could feed my one year old before heading over to the park , the pool was quiet and me and my one year old enjoyed a morning swim to ourselves , the only other thing i don't like is the way the road is set up but other than that , Great hotel , great location and would recommend to this as a good hotel for someone on a budget

Nice hotel close to Universal

Our room was newly updated and nice for the price we paid. We were pleasantly surprised especially with the close proximity to the park and a free breakfast. We took the bus in the morning to Universal and chose to walk back that night since the shuttle only runs once a day. It feels like quite a hike to walk and took us awhile, but it was worth it. Will definitely stay there again.

Super Lage zu den Universal Studios

Waren 3 Nächte dort. Großes Zimmer mit 2 Doppelbetten, Wannenbad, Mikrowelle,Kühlschrank, Bügelbrett mit Bügeleisen, Kommoden. Leider kein Save. Es gibt zu den Universal Studios einen Shuttle einmal am Tag. (8.30 hin 19.30 zurück) Auch werden Shuttle zu Disney u.ä angeboten. Allerdings kostenpflichtig und 24h vorher anzumelden. Frühstück wie überall auf Plastikgeschirr. Für uns ausreichend. Wer ein riesen Buffet erwartet ist in der Preisklasse verkehrt.

Goo. Location

Pros: The cleanliness and the many amenities. But most of all, the location is amazing when it comes to proximity to Universal Studios and an Outlet Mall.
Cons: The breakfast
Location: If it was possible to cross some of the bigger streets, you'll practically be minutes to Universal Studios and an Outlet Mall just walking distance.
Everything went well. I believe the breakfast could have been a lot better as promised and on the photos.
