Nice hotel, outdated rooms.

Posted Feb 5, 2017
Our room was in the old part of the hotel, and it seems as if they focused all their resources on the new part. The room was 'clean' for an old room, but it had seen better days. The door was hard to open and there was about an inch gap where you could physically feel a breeze coming in at night when it got cold. Problem with that was that we couldn't get the thermostat to work. The shower didn't get very hot and there seemed to possibly be some slight mold on the shower head. Lots of 'band-aid fixes' around the bathroom. Toilet ran a lot and my husband kept complaining of the bathroom smelling like...well...a 'bathroom'... Beds were nice though and the property was nice. Great courtyard areas with pool tables and tables. Mini golf was only four holes all connected in a diamond shape but it'll keep a young kid entertained! The pools were very nice and well-kept, and the heated one was great! Also a nice deli shop for a snack or light meal if you don't feel like going out. I also liked that there is parking lot security to keep anyone out isn't staying at the hotel. Location is a huge plus for this hotel, as it is near many restaurants and gift shops, and very easy and quick access to the Disney Parks.

Trina, thanks for giving us honest critique! We are working on all of the things you mentioned continuously.... Come stay with us again on your next visit and book one of our deluxe rooms, slightly more expensive but more up to date. We wont' stop working on the standard rooms though, there are 350 of them so it keeps us busy!

Good price and location, but that's it.

Posted Feb 4, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanness. Air conditioner.
Location: Disney parks.
Good location. Hotel staff was very kind. But that's all. The room was not clean enough. I found many hairs in the washroom and the carpet made many dust. It seemed they did not vacuum cleaning for a long time. A little dust was dropped from my carrier bag but it was there for my full stay (5 days). It means they did not vacuum at all at least during my stay. There's some stain on the blanket, but it was not changed at all. The air conditioner made terrible noise so my family could not sleep at all. The temperature at night during my stay was a bit low (40~45 F), so I definitely needed heating in the room, but the heater made like tank noise. Good location, but not comport stay.

Thank you for our 5 star rating! Glad to hear our housekeeper did a good job! More often comments come from people that have something negative to say so it is always a pleasure to see positive ratings! Thanks very much.

No wifi, non-working lights, unclean room

Posted Feb 1, 2017
Pros: Bed was clean.
Cons: Customer service, carpeting, drains, internet access.
Our rooms were in the furthest building from the main hotel, which may have explained why they were in terrible condition. The carpets smelled, the sinks didn't drain, and multiple light fixtures came on and off sporadically. No wifi after arriving late in the middle of a business trip. Called the front desk and was transferred to IT support. IT support told me he had already informed the front desk they would need to send maintenance to reset the router. I called Front Desk again. She said she had already asked maintenance to fix it, so there was nothing else she could do. I asked if I could move rooms, she said she would tell me if they couldn't fix it, but that i couldn't move rooms before that. 12 hours later, before checking out, wifi was still not functioning.

Great service but RUSTY!

Posted Jan 31, 2017
The hotel location is really good close to disney and in reasonable distance from other attractions like universal and florida mall, The intrance and lobby was very good more like a 4 star hotel, check in was very smooth the staff were very frendly and welcoming. But i was told i could get a discounted tickets for disney then the ticketing lady said the discount was only for couples over 30 who would buy a timeshare! The patio is really cool and the pool as well. We stayed in one of the patio rooms (not the tower) the first impression to the rooms along with the last impression was rusty! The room smelled like rust the lamps the bathroom and every metal in the room was rusty. The beds are quite too high but were comfy enough for a 3 star hotel the sheets were old and not comfy at all. The A.C. didn't work nor did the heater which we really needed one night. The room had no microwave which was a big negative but it had a small fridge and a coffee machine. House keeping were very nice although they did often forget to give us some things like cups and sugar bags for the coffee. The HUGE plus would be the shuttle for disney theme parks great times. However they need to add an earlier pickup time for universal. All in all it was a good experiance if they would fix or replace the rusty things in the room i would defenatly stay there again.

Worst experience

Posted Jan 29, 2017
It was the worst experience. The toilet was flooded and instead of fixing it they gave me a plunger to fixing myself. I talked to the manager and was like she did not care. They did not offer to get another room. It was a nightmare, I would not recommend it.

I heard about this and have addressed it with the contract security company and the employee that should have plunged your toilet. You have my sincere apologies for that and the reaction of the manager that you spoke to.

Need to address cleaning staff

Posted Jan 29, 2017
There were so many hairs on the doors, the walls, and the tile of the shower, it was gross. Bring your pillows because the ones on the beds are tiny. Plus, there's no microwave... Just another way an Orlando hotel tries to get you to eat out. What if I needed to warm a baby's bottle (not that I did) but still? I will say that the beds were comfy, other than the pillows.

I don't understand when I inspect between 25-40 room a week I rarely (not never) find hairs on the walls in the bathroom, and I really look for them! I also have inspectors that check rooms before turning them over who do the same thing. Microwaves are standard in the deluxe section of the hotel where the rooms are priced slightly higher. Microwaves are also available at $5 per day to rent in the standard section. At the room rates we charge, the expense of purchasing microwaves for the 350 rooms in the standard section of the hotel would be prohibitive, thus the reason. I am happy to hear the beds are comfortable and we are replacing pillows on a monthly basis, but they are brand standard pillows. Sorry you were disappointed and hope you would give us another try on a future visit.

Was pleasantly surprised by how neat this hotel was for the price I paid. I went there for an overnight business trip and enjoyed my stay.
