Dolphin stay was great.

Pros: The restaurants are pretty good. Joe at the steakhouse was great. He is a professional and helped with recommendations. The wine list is extensive.
Cons: Concierge did not help but did give a credit.
Location: Terrific location and it's really nice being so close to the Boardwalk.
Overall I had a great experience at the Dolphin. There was a few things here and there but overall it was a good value. I was rushed to put my order in at the Bluezoo as they were trying to shut down for the evening. I liked the steakhouse much more. The parking staff is excellent and go out of their way to take care of you, your bags, or other check-in needs. The front desk check-in was alright. The steak house is recommended. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. The location is fantastic. The room was clean, a nice size and view.

Nice hotel, great location

I read a lot of mixed reviews about this hotel, but decided to see for myself. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and has nice swimming pools for a family with kids. We stayed in a newly renovated room so it was very clean and nice, the only negative I can say about the room is that the bathroom is the smallest I've ever seen. They do charge a $25 fee per night for hotel amenties(like wifi, fitness center, pools, etc). They also charge $26 per day for valet parking or $18 for self parking. Hotel has several restaurants to choose from, all are expensive, but what do you expect from Disney lol. We had a great time and would recommend to a friend, just would explain the extra charges upfront.

Huge disappointment

Construction noise everywhere. A/c/heat not working in room. No privacy bt bathroom and bedroom, housekeeping banging on door even with do notdisturb sign up, huge convention group loud and obnoxious in main areas (bar in lobby of hotel), 24 hr cafe crazyexpensive ($34 for baked chicken dinner), elevators and rooms smelled musty..and of soiled diapers. Front desk Staff indifferent and rude. Would not stay here again.

It was great overall. We had a wonderful time. The food at shula's was nice. Picabu took too long, however. The pool area was amazing. The hallway was dirty where our room was. Staff was kind and approachable.

Great location - walk to 2 Disney parks!

We had a fantastic stay at the Dolphin in a newly renovated room overlooking the seashell fountain. Great location to walk to the Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach Club, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. Loved the restaurants too!

Pros: The convenience of everything being right there
Cons: need more busses to and from parks and ESPN
Of all the resorts, I'd choose the Swan/Dolphin every time. Everything you need is right there...coffee, all meals, bar, snacks, gym, pool, etc. I hate walking a mile to get to a scuzzy cafe for coffee when I wake up at resorts like the Caribbean.

Pros: the pool
Cons: rooms are very dated; the east wing smelled terribly, smelled old.
Location: location was terrific.
We didn't know the Dolphin and Swan were no longer part of Disney; therefore, we had to pay $60 to and from the airport. However, we were still able to use the shuttle to the parks. The hotel and rooms need a massive update; very small bathrooms. We had engineering come at least three times to fix our thermostat; the room was either freezing or sweating. They couldn't figure it out, so we gave up. There aren't may restaurant choices - but the Picabou quick snack shop was pretty good. There was one ice cream shop, but only two workers, so it took about 20 minutes every night for the kids ice creams. The pool's were nice, but staff not so friendly and hard to get service. We bought park tickets from the concierge desk and the they didn't set them up properly (tied to an account); we had no idea and had two miserable park days and the parks couldn't figure out. Fast pass didn't work and the keys kept resetting themselves. Overall, it was OK. Not horrible, but not great. We stayed at the Beach Club last time and it was a much better experience.
