No parking at this hotel!

When you check in, they tell you about their credit card, their time shares, the tickets they have for sale, and where the stores are, BUT they don't tell you that there is a parking garage. And there is a parking garage because there isn't enough parking. They also don't tell you that you will have to wait for a shuttle to take you to your room, then back in the morning. The real kicker is that as you pull through security, they don't tell you that there is no parking by your room, no, they let you drive around for an hour trying to find a parking spot at 2:30am. Only when you go in to ask where the heck you are supposed to park your car do they tell you there is a garage. Now, why could security not say this to begin with? OR, maybe the front desk upon check in? And when you you ask these questions they become rude and say "we don't control parking" - I get that, but you DO control educating your guest on where to park their cars! This issue alone, is enough to not make us stay here again.

BEWARE!!!!

Pros: The restaurant on site was very good and the service was great. The store on site was pretty nice. The employees were nice but very slow .
Cons: They just need to completely gut and remodel and just become a different hotel.
Location: Location is great very near to international drive and Universal is right around the corner.
I never feel the need to review a hotel, but I would feel bad if I didn't warn everyone. Very outdated! If you want to park near your room you need to get there during the day and DO NOT use your car. At night when you come back there is no parking at all and people are parking in fire lanes and blocking other vehicles. The parking garage is so far away from the rooms! They wait until nighttime to drive around the golf carts that backfire constantly and its very loud. Rooms are dirty even after being "cleaned". Got back to our hotel at 2:30 am and the key wouldn't work and the staff took at least 20 minutes to respond. The bedding was dirty, tried to call and just get new linens as it was 4am, specified that it was for a king, staff still brought wrong sheets and took forever. Had issues with our room, got "upgraded" to another room that was still dirty and they gave us a $25 voucher for there gift/food shop. Couldn't even wave the resort fee. I have stayed in a $40 hotel and it was cleaner and the staff was way better. Nothing but issues with this place. All the soda machines are sold out and the one we found the drinks were over a year expired and hot. Hmmmm, how does that go unnoticed for a year? They could have given me the "best" room they had and I still wouldn't want to stay. Very unhappy and nothing could have been done to fix it except all my money returned so I could go to another hotel. I feel sorry for people who own timeshares here.

Not a good stay for Theme Parks

Pros: Had a lot of amenities.
Cons: Different shuttle service and better housekeeping. No hidden fees.
Location: There was a good restaurant on site but pricey. It is not within walking distance from anything!
To far from parks and restaurants. They charged well over a hundred dollars as a cleaning fee which was not mentioned in the listing. The free shuttle left before time and the taxi ride was $40.00 when I confronted the resort they called Ceasers the shuttle company which said they didn't and never leave early the next night we left the park an hour early so we wouldn't miss the shuttle it arrived 5 minutes after the leave time when I talked to the shuttle driver I said you arrived later than you left last night he said I left early last night. The room was moderately clean (dirty corners and hair in the floor). If I go back I will stay at the Baymont Inn & Suites @7601 Black lake Rd. I had to go over there and it had what was missing from West Lakes.

Nice hotel, but not much included in the price

We had a very nice 2 bedroom villa with a full kitchen and pool view. The 7 pools on the property were nice. It was irritating to pay a daily resort fee and then have to pay an additional fee to use any of the games/sporting equipment. Seems like some of the less expensive things like volleyball and horseshoes should be available at no additional charge. Also some confusion about the check-out time among the staff..

looks great from the outside.

Looks great from the outside until you reach the actual room (2200 building,room 2243). Old dingy room with a bathroom full of ants. Staff is slow at everything from towels to just asking to speak with a manager.

Roaches in hotel

This is a pretty nice Time Share type resort. Hotel staff at front desk were very good, offered upgrade and was given a 2 bedroom villa instead of studio we booked. Everything was great until the first morning when I found a cockroach crawling on the stove. It scurried away before I could get to it. At that point, I should have asked for a room change. But we weren't staying long so I decided against moving. It was a mistake because on day 2, we found a roach in the master bathroom and day 3 another one somehow on the inside of the dishwasher door (while it was open and parallel to floor). I called to complain of course. They offered to move us, spray the room, all the usual tactics hotels do when encountered with these problems. Was not interested in any of those things since it was a short stay and didn't want any of our stuff in contact with pesticides. So they offer to pay the resort fees and a lousy voucher of $25. I find that cheap especially when other hotels give you free nights and sometimes the entire stay. I was not impressed. Maybe we were unlucky to get a unit that had roach issues, but if one unit had it, the entire building has it. The resort had probably 20 buildings in all, hopefully not all of them were infested. Although it is a nice place with many free amenities, it is unlikely I will ever go back.
