Westgate Lakes is a beautiful resort in a very convenient location. The resort is very well run, and offers an abundance of entertainment for the whole family. It also has many areas should you wish to spend time away from the hustle and bustle. The island is especially beautiful and peaceful. We highly recommend Westgate Lakes for your stay and we will return for our next Orlando visit.

I was disappointed that there was a separate fee for the water park on top of the resort fee. Also phone didn’t work in my room. Bed was comfy and had a great view. I was close to two different pools areas. I ate in Drafts it was delicious!

We didn't get a chance to explore the resort due to having all day obligations already but the resort had tons to do and was conveniently located near the convention center and halfway between both Universal and Disney. Large, comfy rooms at a great price. Would stay again.

So many fun activities to do here right at the resort. The water park was tons of fun! The arcade was fun! Loved the little marketplace. One thing that was a little frustrating was the coffee shop closes at 3:30pm. After then if you want a coffee, you have to head off property or make in your room.

Absolutely worst stay I’ve had in a long time from any hotel especially one that is considered resort level. The room itself was decent size but the outlet in the kitchen area was not working so we had to use the coffee maker and toaster in the RF outlet in the bathroom. First time I’ve EVER had to be reduced to that. Then 3 nights in a row we had 5 girls and one guy in the room beside us and who were having sexually related parties and were screaming until 2-3 in the morning sex related engagements. We called security, front desk no one answered the phone. The second day the people banged on my parents room door at almost 3am . We went to the front desk and complained and that night the noise was not there but when we got back later and there was a full bag of trash with food debris and leftovers completely busted open in front of my parents door. We know this had to do with too play since we complained about their late night distasteful vocals while engaging in very loud s** horrid experience and hate that I suggested this resort for a stay with my parents and my child. The pools were tiny and overcrowded and dirty. The waterpark is not included and you have to pay $10 per head to enter it. But the day we went to perhaps check it out there were police vehicles outside that water park so we left because who know what that entailed.

Westgate has always had a certain reputation with locals. However, as much of the Dr. Phillips/Universal area has gone downhill, so has Westgate. Unfortunately, the resort is fine, but could use improvements. It should NOT take over an hour to get checked in, during the late afternoon/evening. There were 2 employees checking in & 2 managers floating around trying to appease guests. Guests were cutting the line, to avoid waiting & no one was saying anything. Most of the guests were rather ghetto & apparently people seem to fear confrontation. I do not, but I was tired & my family just wanted to get checked in. It was pouring rain & we had just driven nearly 12 hours from VA. Yet, security told my husband to move & park, while I was inside waiting in line to check in. So, he parked at the closest available spot & decided to drag our 2 small children, one who is autistic & our puppy, into the lobby, in the pouring rain, without an umbrella. Soaked & cranky & irritated that other guests were driving like maniacs in the rain at a family resort, he was pissed that security wasn’t controlling the dangerous speeding guests, but more focused on people checking in & parking in the lobby area by the doors, where most hotels allow you to park temporarily. It was a great way to start our mini vacation. By the time we found our actual room, which was hot, smelly & confusing to find, even with the man that we had to get from another desk at the lobby, we managed to find it. Disappointed.

It's a very nice property and all of the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately we had some maintenance issues in our room that weren't addressed in a very good manner, but all in all I would probably go back. Also the property is cashless!

We loved this hotel! There was lots to do right at the hotel. It was conveniently located, and it was easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go. There was food, and grocery items available to us. The pools and waterpark were awesome! We always had lots of parking. Everything was clean, and we felt safe in the area. It really is a beautiful spot and if we are ever in the area again we will be returning to this hotel!

Very restful vacay. We didnt have a car so eating at resort lacked a couple options. The app for loyalty card did not work for us. Met several owners, all happy with the resort. I'm sorry you might read bad reviews. We couldnt find anything at fault.

The property was very nice and well kept. Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the congestion heading towards international blvd. Lots of construction work going on which caused heavy traffic and lots on delays. Otherwise, very nice property

Great overall! Very close to Universal and Sea World. Do wish they just raised the price slightly to include the water park automatically. Also needs servers at other pools. Food at The Draft Kings bar was subpar and so were drink options. But the rooms were pretty nice and so were the pools.
