Pretty decent pick

Hotel stay and location was great! Room was very clean! Check in was very expeditious! The only problem I had was they put king size linen on a queen size bed and the toilet would continuously run after flushing!

Waited an hour for our room!

Check in time was at 4 pm. I checked in at 4:41 pm and was told room would be ready in 10 minutes. An hour later and speaking with the manager and threatening to call corporate office, I got my room. I told manager I refuse to pay resort fee as it was too late to swim or use facilities. She blamed busy day and cleaning delays for excuse. I told her as a paying customer it was the resorts responsibility to make sure guests rooms were available at check in time. As far as the room, it was fine but throw away the old dusty plastic plants. And the ATM machine took my debit card! I had to pry it loose with scissors!

Nice Hotel close to Universal studios

Excellent place to stay. Had small kitchen with refrigerator. This place is close to Universal studios about a 15 minute drive. It is also near seaworld and restaurants, like cicis pizza, golden coral, olive garden, etc. This place also has activities scheduled throughout the day to do with family.

I always stay in Westgate clean, friendly and lots of things to do in the resort.

Pros: Big and confortable unit, perfec for a family of four, everybody were happy.
Cons: Put a lift to get to the third floor
Location: Close to parks, shopping and restaurants
Parents have peace, kid have their own room with a tv

Pros: It was not a HOTEL!
Cons: DON'T ADVERTISE A HOTEL, WITH FREE 24 HOUR FREE AIRPORT SERVICE! I HAD TO PAY A TAXI TO WESTGATE RESORT AND BACK TO THE AIRPORT! IT WAS ABOUT 20 MILES
My plane arriving to Orlando was delayed, so my driver could not pick me up as planned. I needed a one night to stay and my daughter got this reservation for me. We thought it was a Hotel, not. I had to take a taxi 20+ miles to the location, have night security check me in. Take me in a golf cart to my 2nd floor apartment with 1 large, and 1 medium suitecase case. The apartment was freezing cold, tried to put the heat on - nothing happened. Turned the A/C off and slept with clothes and sheets & blanket on. Left early the next morning. Never again to stay in a place like that.

Time-Share pressure! Rip-off internet rates

Pros: beds and pillows were very comfortable
Cons: 1. maintenance 2. internet access at less than the $9.99/day/device!!! This rate is a rip-off!
From the minute we checked-in, they tried to lure us into a time-share presentation, something we didn't want to participate in. Out of compassion for the people who are held responsible for lining up attendees, I went and spoke to them and clearly explained that I am not interested in this and am happy to explain that to their supervisors if they still get the pressure. I was told no problem and they marked a "No" in the column "Interest level?" in their master sheet. But that wasn't the end of it. Every day we were there they kept calling our hotel phone and bringing pamphlets at our door to lure us to those silly presentations. I will likely not stay at this facility again unless the price is attractive. Also, there was a resort fee of $4.99/day indicated in my reservation that supposedly provided a few amenities including internet access. But when I checked in I was told that will not be done, and the only way to get internet was to pay $9.99/day per device!!! To be fair, this was also noted in the reservation although didn'nt say it was per "device"! And there was a slightly reduced rate for the whole week but it was still a rip-off in my view. I asked about that $4.99/day resort fee that also mentioned internet access, but was told that package/service is no longer available. Lastly, the pool picture on Expedia isn't correct and I really stretching my imagination to believe it is the same hotel.

Decent place to stay.

Pros: we took a 2 bedroom w/ kitchenette as we had two young kids - the suite was roomier and we had a pleasant stay.
Cons: Noisy neighbors - the guests on the floor above us made lots of noise/sounds late into the night. Although this is not directly the resort's fault.
Location: easy access to restaurants and other commercial facilities (including shopping and attractions)
Overall the resort is a decent place to stay - the biggest take away for me was its close proximity to local attractions ( Disneyland, Universal, Sea World) and local restaurants.
