We were misled about an offer.

At the reception desk, we were offered a free breakfast along with an opportunity to earn $75 cash with a $20refundable deposit. Morning of our checkout, we woke up an hour early. Got ready an hour before we wanted/had to leave our room for checkout. When we went back to the reception to claim breakfast and money, we were informed that we weren't eligible for either the breakfast or money. Then had to go to a different area and wait another 20min in line to get the $20 refunded to us. We never would've wasted our time or money knowing that we were gonna be turned away for something that we were never told about the day before.
