Que pasa La Quinta?

I always stay at La Quinta hotels because they have a really good rewards program. Basically you can earn free nights like crazy with the reward points. So I used one free night and paid for the other two. I arrived at 2 pm the day I booked my reservation for even though check in is at 3 pm. I figured if the room is ready great if not I'll wait. The staff member said sorry we only have a smoking room (which is what I requested). I said yes I would like a smoking room. A SMOKING ROOM? The staff member repeated with disbelief and judgemental behavior. Like he never checked in a guest before who wanted a smoking room. They told me the room was ready and I could check in early. Great no? NO. When I arrived to the room the room was NOT READY. The room looked as tho it had been ransacked with food all over the place. It was gross. I went to the front desk to explain to them how disgusting the room was and I'd be happy to wait for a clean one at regular check in time. I specifically told the staff member at the desk DO NOT PLACE ME IN THE SAME ROOM. He agreed. Fast forward to 2 am after I spent the entire day out and just wanted to sleep. I went to the front desk to check in and THEY TRIED TO PLACE ME IN THE SAME ROOM. I denied staying in that room and ended up with a non smoking room. I don't understand how I arrived early and specially requested a different room and got a room that was completely the wrong one that I am paying for.

Bed bugs and dirty bathroom

Got bit by bedbugs and they didn't even want to refund me my night. Bathroom had a nasty smell . Hotel staff smoking all over the place.

We appreciate your feedback. Our apologies for the experience, we had the room thoroughly inspected by our exterminator company Ecolabs and they found no signs of Bedbugs. We take these reports seriously and if found leave the room out of service and remove the mattresses then treat the room. Our apologies for the bad experience.GM

The room smelled funny. The place needs some tlc. I had to get rid of some snacks I brought cause there was no microwave or fridge, the beds seemed pretty old and worn. The little things matter and I wasn't so comfortable in the room.

AJ, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to hear you had such a bad stay. When our guest choose to stay with us, all we want is for you to have the best experience. The smell you may have had could most likely be from our recent cleaning of the air conditioner units. But I will have our maintenance department check it out. Anytime you make a reservation, I always advise our guests to contact us directly at the hotel so this way we can inform you of what the room will include for your reservation. We are hoping to have all rooms equipped with a microwave and refrigerator in our near future.

lack of cleanliness

My daughter and wife developed a rash on their arms after sleeping on the beds. We found what looked like mouse droppings on the bed the next day. Management was notified and I was assured us the room would be QUARRENTINED Off

Our sincere apologies. We had the room inspected and found no signs of mice, but lizards. We cannot confirm any cause for them breaking out unless from a cleaning chemical we use. Again our apologies for the problems.

Housekeeping didn't come clean the room after our first night there.

Anonymous, I am sorry to hear you did not receive housekeeping on your 2nd day. Our guests receive service every day. Could it have been possible you may have had a Do Not Disturb sign on your door? That is usually the main reason a guest will not receive housekeeping service. I do hope this is the reason, but I will speak to my housekeeping staff.

Do NOT book this hotel!!!

This hotel was absolutely DISGUSTING! I immediately felt the need to clean the room as soon as I got there. Please do NOT go by the pictures. They do not at all show what the rooms look like. The carpets were not vacuumed, shower still had hair in it. Again do NOT book. Spend a little more money and book somewhere that isn't going to gross you out

good for one night only

Some of the staff were very rude, but the room was clean. Right next door to a decent seafood restaurant.
