Great location

Close to everything, comfy beds and nice local restaurant with live music right outside the front door.

Very unsatisfied.. hotel rooms are outdoors.. Room had a funny smell.. shower/tub wasn’t clean. Stain on sheets.

Sherrifs cars going around building looking for soneone. Shady couple sitting in car in front of our room. Going in and out of rooms. Not guest!! Scary!

Have stayed in better La Quintas

Pros: Close to airport. Free shuttle.
Cons: Overall cleanliness and appearance.
Obviously an older Hotel with Motel Style external corridors. Convenient for Orlando airport and adeqate for a budget one night stop. We arrived quite late (11 pm) and tired from a long days travel. A surly receptionist told us that there were no rooms with 2 beds (which we had booked) left and offered a room with double bed on the 3rd floor accessed by a lift at the far end of the corridor as the main lift wasn't working. After some "discusion" she managed to arrange a room with 2 beds on the 2nd floor close to a working lift! The whole hotel had a run down appearance and our room had stains on the carpet and a strange smell. In general, the hotel appeared to need a thorough clean and I doubt if we would have stayed more than one night. Breakfast was adequate, waffles, cereals and bread and bagels. The Day staff were a complete contrast to to the reception the previous night. They were attententive and polite and accepted our comments on our room and the overall appearance of the Hotel graciously and promised to investigate a reading lamp wich flashed at random intervals after it was turned off! The free shuttle to the airport is a bonus. It is very convenient and saves about $15 (inc tip) taxi fares each way. The driver was helpful and a very cheery companion on our drive to the airportWe have stayed in several La Quintas in recent months and found them comfortable, clean and value for money. If you have a choice use the nearby La Quinta North (Chalk and Cheese!)

Que pasa La Quinta?

I always stay at La Quinta hotels because they have a really good rewards program. Basically you can earn free nights like crazy with the reward points. So I used one free night and paid for the other two. I arrived at 2 pm the day I booked my reservation for even though check in is at 3 pm. I figured if the room is ready great if not I'll wait. The staff member said sorry we only have a smoking room (which is what I requested). I said yes I would like a smoking room. A SMOKING ROOM? The staff member repeated with disbelief and judgemental behavior. Like he never checked in a guest before who wanted a smoking room. They told me the room was ready and I could check in early. Great no? NO. When I arrived to the room the room was NOT READY. The room looked as tho it had been ransacked with food all over the place. It was gross. I went to the front desk to explain to them how disgusting the room was and I'd be happy to wait for a clean one at regular check in time. I specifically told the staff member at the desk DO NOT PLACE ME IN THE SAME ROOM. He agreed. Fast forward to 2 am after I spent the entire day out and just wanted to sleep. I went to the front desk to check in and THEY TRIED TO PLACE ME IN THE SAME ROOM. I denied staying in that room and ended up with a non smoking room. I don't understand how I arrived early and specially requested a different room and got a room that was completely the wrong one that I am paying for.

Bed bugs and dirty bathroom

Got bit by bedbugs and they didn't even want to refund me my night. Bathroom had a nasty smell . Hotel staff smoking all over the place.

We appreciate your feedback. Our apologies for the experience, we had the room thoroughly inspected by our exterminator company Ecolabs and they found no signs of Bedbugs. We take these reports seriously and if found leave the room out of service and remove the mattresses then treat the room. Our apologies for the bad experience.GM

The room smelled funny. The place needs some tlc. I had to get rid of some snacks I brought cause there was no microwave or fridge, the beds seemed pretty old and worn. The little things matter and I wasn't so comfortable in the room.

AJ, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to hear you had such a bad stay. When our guest choose to stay with us, all we want is for you to have the best experience. The smell you may have had could most likely be from our recent cleaning of the air conditioner units. But I will have our maintenance department check it out. Anytime you make a reservation, I always advise our guests to contact us directly at the hotel so this way we can inform you of what the room will include for your reservation. We are hoping to have all rooms equipped with a microwave and refrigerator in our near future.

lack of cleanliness

My daughter and wife developed a rash on their arms after sleeping on the beds. We found what looked like mouse droppings on the bed the next day. Management was notified and I was assured us the room would be QUARRENTINED Off

Our sincere apologies. We had the room inspected and found no signs of mice, but lizards. We cannot confirm any cause for them breaking out unless from a cleaning chemical we use. Again our apologies for the problems.
