Hotel under refurbishment

Walked in the lobby and saw plastic buckets collecting dripping water. Outdoor pool fence was rusted and broken. Rooms seemed clean but smelled like cigarette smoke. Breakfast was small but very nice Lady was there to make waffles for anyone that wanted one. Check in & check out was easy. Dirty looking people were hanging out in front of the hotel. Police car drove through the lot several times.

One of the worst hotel experiences ever

Pros: Not much.
Cons: Wow, where to begin? Regular and thorough cleaning, replacement of old or damaged items, which is huge. Most of all,management that cares.
Location: It is/was handy to an event we were scheduled to attend.
We stayed here a year or so ago & it was just fine. This time, the lobby floor was not clean and there were two buckets set out in the middle of the room to catch leaks. Everywhere we looked, there were signs of neglect, including dirty switch plates, peeling wallpaper, white doors with handprints etc. all over them. The curtains at the window were so dirty I didn't want to touch them and the air conditioning required constant adjustment to adequately cool the room. It rattled on and off all through the night. A couple of smallish children, apparently belonging to a staff member, lounged about in the lobby and the people in the next room were in and out of their room constantly, making a great deal of noise, which continued when they were inside, as someone repeatedly slammed something (possibly a ball) against the wall between us. Two of the pillows smelled, although the sheets seemed to be clean. There was a sign near the elevators that the hotel was being renovated, but all you can see was what looked like long-standing dirt, disrepair, damage and lack of care. baseboards were detaching and furniture was old and battered. It was so bad that we had breakfast at the adjacent Cracker Barrel rather than chance the free continental breakfast. Won't be staying there again!

Could have been better

Pros: Good location for area accessability.
Cons: Carpeting, AC units
The stay was not a good experience. Noisy at night---arguments, kids running up & down the hallways. The staff was friendly but had no control over long term FEMA displaced families.

What a dump.

Cons: A bulldozer
Location: Ormond Beach is great.
Horrible room, bathroom doors didn't shut without making a loud noise , faucets about to come out of the bathroom wall, holes in the wall. TV didn't work, didn't complain because it was only a one night stay, kids running up and down the hall. The morning we check out there are waffles all over the hallway and syrup all over the elevator buttons from the kids that ran free throughout the hotel. Dump stay away.

Do not stay here

Rooms were not clean. Staff does not know what they’re doing. We were charged 5 times for our stay. They cannot seem to fix the charges. Would not stay there if it was free.

Room was very dissapointing. Picture showed a sofa but there was none. Very small room beds not very comfortable. Room was dirty. We were overcharged for our stay and stilll trying to get the charges straightened out a week later. Will not stay there again.

Staff was not friendly or did not respond with new wash cloths when requested. There was hardly any food put out for breakfast, the staff kept saying a delivery was coming but never did arrive. I’ve stayed at many Baymont hotels and never had these problems before.

Our room and room next to us had ants. There were no other rooms to put us in, so, we left.
