Basic But Good
You get what you pay for. If you are looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to put your head down for a night it is perfect for you. It is a little tired and needs a lick of paint and a refresh but in my experience a lot of places after COVID need this. Staff very friendly and helpful

No working air conditioning
It advertised air conditioning, but it was 33 degrees and you could only get hot air from the system. NO cold air. When we asked about it, the receptionist said, they couldn’t do anything about it because the manager was not there until the next day and there was no one he could ask. The receptionist said all the other customers liked being hot, which rubbish and just plain silly.

Nice staff, good food, but rather tired
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant was cooked to order and very good, but the hotel is rather tired and the bedrooms & bathrooms really do redecorating.

Have stayed at this hotel, and have always been satisfied, but on this occasion noise levels were ridiculous. There were multiple van drivers booked in, and the level of noise from banging van doors, and shouting late at night, is not what you want after a long drive . You should be aware that parking is 3 feet from your door and window, so if you have inconsiderate drivers/guests you will not sleep well!!

Convenient location but very old
This hotel is in a very convenient location but it is like a motel you see in a 1970 American film. The hotel is “motel” style, all on one level with cars parked in front of each room. However, today’s cars are much bigger so we could not fit our car in front of our room. Also, very noisy as you can hear every person leaving in the morning. Not at all comparable with other campernile hotels I have stayed in

Disappointing
Tied, poor condition and dirty. Hotel needs a major revamp but in the meantime done basic redecorating and cleaning would help. The staff were friendly and the breakfast good however. Expensive for what it was and the photos on the app are very misleading.

Do not stay here!
This is a dreadful hotel. The room was tiny, the bathroom, although appeared quite clean, smelt absolutely foul. The whole place stank! It is in a very bad state of repair. We booked it because we use the Campanile at St Jean de Luz on our journeys and it is a fabulous hotel. We expected this to be good too but it was awful. We will never stay here again.

Fine for a one night stop-over
When we arrived we found that our QR codes had expired so we were not able to eat in the dining room. We asked if we could have food brought to our room and this was arranged and suited us well.

Convenient pleasant. This time some staff not so obliging. The rooms are small but clean with optional heat in the bathroom. The menu is limited and slightly high priced but there is a good breakfast bar. Kettle and tea/coffee in the room is a bonus.

We’d go again to this hotel and recommend it
This hotel was chosen for an overnight stay on our journey as it was close to our route. It worked well for us in all aspects. The restaurant has a limited menu but that was not a problem and the meal was good. We’d been a little unsure about eating there but were very pleased we did. The breakfast was good. I’d recommend it for a simple overnight stay as it provided all we needed.

Motel accommodation, external entry to fairly spartan room. Sited on industrial estate. I was late due to ferry delay into Caen but Karine kindly called and sent instructions for getting into room.(reception shut at 2240) Bed was clean and comfortable. No tea or coffee making in room which was nuisance as I was thirsty after travel. Apparently due to Covid...

The outside doors on many of the rooms were in a poor condition. It appears that the dearth of decent cups, milk and tea bags/coffee are standard. A great pity. The breakfasts were adequate but not as comprehensive as in other Campiniles. The dining room lacks character.

Easy to find off the A28 and a useful stopover. Staff friendly and helpful. Food OK. Bed comfortable. Can park car right outside room. What would make it even better is a refurbishment of the bedrooms and a thorough clean of the bathroom tiles, skirting boards etc. Also, install some blackout blinds - there is only a net curtain on the window and rooms are motel style onto the well-lit car park. Hotel was more expensive than another brand which has hotels which are much more contemporary.

Good for one night
The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, including air conditioning which was much appreciated. The meal in the evening was okay and the breakfast was good. The hotel was built in the 1970’s and it didn’t look like it had been touched since but it was clean.

Good standard Campanile. Slightly harder to find - still well positioned for the autoroute (we were taking an overnight break heading from Bergerac to the Channel Tunnel) Breakfast from 6:00 a clear advantage for an early start
