Only if you want a party scene

The cost of the room was not cheap, but I felt was worth the investement to get a better expereince. I booked a room for adults and kids. I got a call from the front desk and the clerk wanted to be sure I knew they were very close to a bar and grill that had live music playing unti 1am. I appreciated the warning of the loud music. They need to include a warning about the crowd that this venue attracts to their hotel. From the moment I walked in, we were met with people that were very intoxicated and not using inside voices or saying things I would want my 12 year old daughter to hear. We went to bed by 10pm at night and got up early (while everyone else was sleeping it off) and that seemed to help avoid certian behavior. I like enjoying drinks by the pool, but sitting with folks drinking strait out of a Crown Royal bottle at 9:30am on a Sunday morning is too hard core for me. Maybe during the week would be more my speed or not having kids with me would have made it better. I just wish I knew this going in before making a significant investment to stay for two nights. The room was very nice, the bed linens were functunal and not luxury - but the rest of the room was nice and clean. The pool had a lot of bugs in it, but otherwise pretty nice but small for the amount of people that get in it. I did not complain to hotel at the time, because I am not sure they would have been able to address the number of people that were acting too loud and obnoxious.

I am sorry that our staff did not make you aware that we tend to have a party atmosphere, especially on the weekends during the summer. I also wanted to apologize for the behavior exhibited by some of our other guests, and to let you know that we will be revisiting our policies to see what we can do to help curb the more enthusiastic or hard core revelers.
I also wanted to address the bugs in the pool. We are in the midst of a Japanese beetle invasion at the Lake of the Ozarks, and they are almost impossible to ward off. I apologize that we were unable to keep ahead of their numbers entering the pool.
