Nice stay for any indivual, couple or group.Posted Oct 8, 2012
Pros: Pool table
Cons: No elevator
Location: Very nice for such a small town.
The staff who checked us in were great. Friendly, professionsal, courteous. The mgr came out to welcome us, but she had a trainee who she brought out to check us in for the experience. That was fine w/us, and the trainee asked questions when she needed to & the mgr was respectful when correcting/instructing the trainee. VERY good impression. The room was clean and fresh. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but there was a pool table that we used. We found it strange that the pool table was in the same space as the actual pool, but it was functional enough to give us a couple of hours of entertainment. The breakfast was not original, but filling & plentiful. The waffle maker was WONDERFUL, but could have used better, more informational instructions. The morning manager was professional, but not very friendly or personable like the evening staff was. Didn't ask how our stay was or if we had a good night. The public space was very clean & welcoming. Saw many people utilizing the common area for cell phone calls, using the public computer, etc., telling me that they felt comfortable in that space. The fireplace could have been lit, since it was supposed to be at freezing temperatures that night. An elevator would have been nice, but we both have bad knees/hips so that could just be us. Next time will request a ground floor room. Will recommend.

Great stayPosted Nov 29, 2011
Right off the interstate and convenient. Continental breakfast was good and had a variety. Every day featured different hot option as well as waffles, cereal, fruit, donuts, juice, yogurt. Coffee bar was great and had flavored syrup options, as well as cider, hot chocolate and variety of teas. Didn't use the indoor pool, but looked nice. Pillows and mattress were very comfy! Staff was pleasant and helpful. Even though train was close by, we never heard it from our room, unlike other hotels in town. Would definitely stay again.

This was our first stay at an AmericInn. We were very pleased. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean. The shower was at a nice height (I'm 6'2"). The complementary breakfast was substantial. Nice place for a quick overnight while on the road.
