The staff were very friendly during my stay, check-in and check-out was very straightforward. Unfortunately, the room was very cold, the radiator did not work properly and I was told there was nothing they could do about that. The room wasn't very clean (dust everywhere) and was very outdated in terms of decoration and layout. The evening meal option was very limited, and did not taste very nice. The breakfast was very lacking, I had some pancakes and jam but there was not much to choose from so I only had breakfast on one of the mornings of my stay. I don't think I would stay here again, for the price there are much better alternatives.

The room was cold on arrival due to a radiator that needed bleeding. Despite 4 requests over 2 days it was never resolved. With outside temperatures of -10c this was unacceptable and I would not recommend or stay at this hotel in future.

Loved Oslo!
It was a pleasant stay! The hotel was nice but needed a bit of updating. The lighting in the rooms was horrible...very low lighting even when all were turned on at the same time. The room I was in had a small step up to get into the room and a higher step to go into the bathroom. This almost lead to disaster when entering the bathroom in the middle of the night. There were no receptacles in the bathroom.

Our friend recommended this hotel to us and we were delighted with our stay. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The buffet breakfast was particularly good. The half board arrangement works very well given the cost of eating out in Oslo. The location works very well as the harbour is short walk away and there are tram stops outside. We would definitely stay here again.

lovely helpful staff and the food was wonderful. Fika i the afternoon was a lovely touch and the evening dinner was always gorgeous and very welcome in such an expensive city

Breakfast was excellent with a wonderful variety of food. Afternoon coffee and cake was very welcome. The complimentary dinner was greatly appreciated , was tasty and filling. The reception staff were most helpful and pleasant. I would stay here again!

Good property, nice location
Spacious family room with sofa bed for our kids. Only 1 small 2 person elevator, which takes a while. We visited in the summer during a heat wave, the window had to be open because no AC. It was very loud with streetcar passing every 5 minutes. Breakfast very good, nice funky and modern restaurant. Close to city hall and palace, very walkable part of town.

Highly recommended.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay for 4 nights. The single room was small as expected and comfortable and clean. Great choice of breakfast, light evening meals included between 6-8pm were simple but tasty. Also afternoon coffee/tea and cake included. About 20 minutes walk to Akker Brygge for Fjord trips etc.
35 min Metro (T-Bane) trip up to nearby Ski Lodge Cafe. End of line @ Frognerseteren.

Great stay at the Savoy!
I stayed at the Savoy and will stay there the next time I’m in Oslo. A quiet room with a nice bathroom with great breakfasts and unexpectedly delicious evening meals!

Very good hotel, excellent location. The staff very attentive. The food very fresh and delicious. all clean and in good condition. Only the elevator failed the last day, but the staff helped lower the luggage.

Of all the places we have stayed in our past 6 weeks in northern Europe the staff at this hotel stand out for not only their professionalism but the extra help they offer when any request was made of them. Really delightful staff! Room was clean, roomy and comfortable and very adequately provisioned, full breakfast buffet on offer, and a simple supper meant we did not have to go out in the evening dark, and so that, too, was appreciated as an option.

A nice stay in a convenient hotel.
Very convenient city centre location. Great breakfast spread, afternoon cake and an evening dinner are all included and are tasty and welcome additions. My room did suffer from a lot of noise from the tram route outside, but that was not the end of the world and I would stay in the same room again as the plusses outweighed the negatives for me. Comfy, warm and nice toiletries.

Great home base for a week in Oslo!
I’m a budget solo traveler so security and value are my top priorities in picking hotels and this one delivers! Great value for the price I paid. The staff was lovely, especially Silje, who checked me in after my long travel day. Compqct elevator. My single room was spacious with an armchair and reading lamp and a nice large desk with chair. The closet was nice sized with cubbies. The bathroom was efficient with a heated floor, blow dryer, and dispensers of hand soap by the sink and shampoo in the shower. Nice ledge to put my stuff on. Ample power outlets for recharging devices. Twin bed with duvet was comfortable. The breakfast buffet that is included is really good with many items to choose from. In the late afternoon they have “sweet treats” which was little pieces of cake available in the second floor eating area. Coffee and tea available as well. Also a light dinner is included which was one kind of soup, three different salads, bread, a hot meat dish, and a side. Also there is an espresso machine in the lobby that can be used any time. Security; room key is needed to get past the first floor so safety was not a concern. Location: five minute walk to national theater metro station. Two blocks from airport bus stop. Good central location but expect to walk a little bit to get anywhere. Condition of the hotel is pretty clean but kind of tired looking. For me this was easily overlooked due to the value and friendliness of the staff. Definitely recommend!
