Good location

Posted Aug 9, 2016
Pros: Location is brilliant - very close to both the main street (Karl Johan's Gate) and the waterfront.
Cons: Refurbishment of some rooms would improve the hotel.
Location: The hotel is in easy walking distance of the Royal Palace, the Parliament, the National Gallery, the Ibsen Museum and the waterfront ferries/ cruises.
We had two rooms as four of us were on a short trip to Oslo. The difference between the rooms was considerable: one room was stylish and had good storage in two wardrobs; the other was dated, a bit tatty and lacking in storage (one narrow set of shelves)

Close to center of town for easy walking to town h

Posted Jul 31, 2016 on CheapTickets
Pros: location, front desk staffing
Cons: eating space
Location: There are several days of historical things to enjoy within walking distance
The front staff was great at explaining with a map where good things were. Breakfast area was very crowded to find a table and getting through the buffet.

There is no air conditioning at this hotel. Therefore I found it difficult to sleep on this warm night

Great location.

Posted Jul 29, 2016 on Hotels
We stayed here on 2 different occasions in one week. The first time our room was a little shabby - hand soap container broken, towels extremely thin, window catches broken. Second stay - the window catches were broken. Both times it was quite hot in Oslo & the hotel has no air conditioning making it difficult to sleep at night. The hotel lobby is very small & broken up. Although it was supposed to have an Italian restaurant, there was none to be found. It only served breakfast, which was good & included in our stay.

Needs Updating

Posted Jun 5, 2016
The room needs a major update- worn out furniture an wooden floor. There is major construction happening all around the hotel, the city is redoing streets and sidewalks. You hear heavy machinery late at night and early morning, no airconditioning so you need you need to leave the windows open. Wasn't anything close to a 4 star hotel.

Centrally located hotel near to everything.

Posted May 30, 2016
Pros: Centrally located with easy access to all sites and areas. Very kind, friendly staff. One of the quietest hotels I have ever stayed in.
Cons: Breakfast area gets very crowded. The hotel seems to cater for large bus groups that dominate the breakfast area so pick the time that you eat,
Location: Centrally located near to everything. Central Station 10 minute walk. Waterfront, Fortress and Opera House very near as well. Eat in the East of town.
Great hotel, warm welcome and easiest check in and out ever. Centrally located near to everything so all within easy walking distance. Very quiet with no street disturbances. Excellent breakfast. Clean, no frills, comfortable room facing a courtyard at the back of the hotel. Very kind, friendly and helpful staff. Will be back.

Only issue was the strike

Posted May 17, 2016
Good place to stay and close to the harbour/ access to the Fram and other great museums. Only issue was a strike was on, so did not get breakfast. Hassle is have to get reimbursed by Expedia, not directly from the hotel.
