We selected this hotel for 2 reasons: the pool and the distance to the train station.
We love this hotel for a few hidden gems: train station and the hotel are not connected but there is a passage way through the metro-subway, a visit of the gym and the pool during daylight is a must; the lobby fire place on a very cold day.
The area offers many restaurants within walking distance and R12 will bring you to Aker Brygge fast.
The low: the bar and the restaurant (the Top) are closed at lunch time in winter… they should be open! By night we only see lights, the nice view is during daylight. I would have made a detour to have an early dinner or a late lunch at the restaurant.
Breakfast buffet is nice but it does not have a lot of norwegian choice except brown cheese, salmon and herring. Where are the Leftse, waffle, etc.?
If we go back to Oslo, this hotel will be in our short list!
