"A Pleasant Hotel"
As long as one doesn't expect high class accommodations, this hotel is a fine place to stay. The owners live on site and they are very pleasant. It is obvious they try to keep costs under control. This is a modest inn and there is nothing wrong with that. The room was surprisingly large and it was clean with no unpleasant odors. The bathroom was clean, although we we're not used to having the sink in the room and the toilet and tub in the bathroom. This was not a problem. The free breakfast was nothing special but again acceptable. Nothing was hot except the coffee. Cereal, danish, orange juice and yogurt. Our biggest complaint was the beds could be much more comfortable. We didn't get a good restful night's sleep.

Very friendly and clean. Wall are a bit thin as we could hear every word the fishermen were saying as they were getting ready for there trip. Wouldn't have been so bad but it was 04:30am.

"Charming boutique hotel"
My husband and I were traveling to the Renaissance Festival and wanted to stay over night the night before. I picked this hotel because I read that it was converted into a hotel from a historical building. This was a cute hotel in Oswego within walking distance of restaurants. I have no complaints about the hotel except for the very uncomfortable bed (it feels like you are sleeping on a board). The room was small but nicely decorated and included a small refrigerator and a microwave. The hotel offers a small continental breakfast in the morning with pastries, fruit, oatmeal and yogurt. Our room was right near the check-in desk and I didn't hear any noise as mentioned in some of the other reviews. Overall, it suited our needs and would recommend it but suggest bringing your own pillows.

Pocket Guide: St. Lawrence Seaway Oswego Independent Hotels

This port city sits upon Lake Ontario and is 40 minutes outside of Syracuse and a 3-hour ride from Niagara Falls. The summer months are fruitful in fishing, and the music of the annual Harborfest, and the farmers' markets, lush with handmade crafts and locally-grown goods, make for a relaxing visit to this city with a small town heart.
