Welsh/English border delight

Greeted by owner who immediately made us feel at home. Dinner arranged at short notice and the two evening meals we had were excellent. The gardens were large and easily accessed and available for our use. Both Cameron and Maggie were super hosts and provided every courtesy. We have every intention of staying here again.

Spent 4 nights and had two dinners wish it had been 10 nights and 10 dinners. Fabulous food, location great, wonderful amenities and the hosts became our instant friends. Would spend all my holidays there if I could. Can't recommend it too highly.

5 star from the moment I arrived...!

From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a warm welcome and was made comfortable. A welcome drink was offered and after driving 177 miles it was nice to be offered a drink straight away. I stayed in the orchard suite - this was a stunning room not only in size but with all the little extra that you don,t get at a chain, for example a lovely decanter of complimentary port & sherry on the table. No instant coffee is always a good sign and a excellent selection of good teas were available, the room was spotless! Views from the windows was peacful - no roads to be seen or traffic to hear. I had the sea bass for dinner and this was delicious - don,t normally have dessert but could not refuse after the quality of the main course - I was glad I did! Don,t remember falling asleep which was rare as I normally take some time at hotel - The bed was so encompassing and comfortable I slept all the way through till morning. Breakfast was as expected after such a good evening meal, good local ingredients, tasting think bacon and good local butchers sausage. The eggs was from the down the road freshly laid! Overall, I would recommend this as a great place to stay, and would definitely stay hear again. Thank you for your hospitality and making me feel welcome!
