water in tub not draining fast, bedroom door cannot be closed, bad mattress on sofa bed, small bathroom and not clean. Corridor is nice but rooms need updating

Thank you for providing feedback to us based on your recent stay, and letting us know the areas we can best improve upon. At present, 76 out of our 155 rooms have already undergone a transformation, with the balance to be completed by Spring 2018. As of January 2017, we had however updated all of the soft furnishings, mattresses, curtains, bedskirts, bedrunners and desk chairs throughout the hotel; this included all of our sofa beds, so they are brand new, and we are sorry to hear that you did not find the mattress on it very comfortable. We hope you will consider staying with us again once our full guest room renovations are complete.

Great location

Great location for the price. The room was a bit dated but was very clean ans staff were very Nice. Parking was valet but also $20 a day.

Unfortunately the room was not fully aired out from people before us so it stunk like BO the entire time.. was told to just "keep the door open". On top of this we had a sink that didn't drain and the bathroom door was split at the bottom. The staff were able to help accomodate us but if I returned again I'd definitely be requesting a different room.

Pros: It's location
Cons: Everything in the room is old. The elevator look recent but when you get out, it feels like an old appt building.
I'm glad I stayed just one night, didn't feel safe on my floor

Great location in centre of town with good parking

Pros: location
The location was perfect for our 3 day stay. It was so convenient we did not need our car to get around. There were ample attractions and restaurants in the area to keep us very busy.

Poor parking facility. How are visitors expected to come if there is no parking

We are sorry that you had concerns with our parking over the Canada Day long weekend. Because of the 150th Celebrations, and our very close proximity to Parliament Hill, our overflow parking lot was implementing a revised access schedule; so we were very diligent in contacting each and every one of our guests who were staying with us, to assist with pre-planining their parking arrangements during the long weekend celebrations. We also ensured that we posted the notification on our social media account to ensure that guests had spoken directly with us regarding the parking in the downtown core during these dates. Our social media account was also maintained with information on the festivities, the anticipated wait times to get through security screening to access the Hill, and the link to the road closures to keep our guests informed as best as possible. We are sorry if this caused you any inconvenience during your stay.

Fantastic hotel.

My husband and I visited this hotel for the July 1st weekend. The hotel was only a few blocks from parliament hill, and the Byward market. The staff at the hotel were very knowledgeable and the rooms although small were very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice stay, the down side was the parking, I think they would get a much better review if the offered valet parking to all clients

Close to everything in the heart of town

Pros: The location.
Cons: A shuttle service to and from the airport.
Location: It s in the heart of everything. Parliament buildings very close and a wonderful market only ten minutes walk away.
Staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and hotel in an deal place so you can walk to most things.

nice hotel close to everything

Cons: changing the carpet
comfortable hotel though I noticed they charged more for the Friday night parking (across the hotel) than the regular fee was at the parking garage for the time we spent there

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. By spring 2018 all of the carpeting in the hotel will have been changed, as we are making improvements to our guest rooms. Currently 76 out of 155 rooms have been completed, though we have suspended work during the summer months, to avoid disruption to our guests. Work will re-commence in the late fall. Once all of the rooms have been completed they will each have new: mattresses, soft furnishings, carpeting, desk chairs, wallpaper, artwork, bed skirts & runners, and new lighting (with plugs and USB outlets to dock devices). We hope you will enjoy the changes we are making.
