There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in the room, very dirty in the corners of the floors in the room as well. Alot of unhoused people hanging out in front of the hotel and a fee for parking

Sorry this is not a brand standard for our hotel. We have a vending machine on the second floor and many stores very clsoe that sell water. Also city of Ottawa water is safe to drink right from the tap.

The property and room were very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Not the best area of Ottawa but safe enough and certainly not the Hotel's problem. One negative would definitely be the pyschedelic carpet in the hallway at least on 4th floor but very satisfied.

Was not expecting much but a basic clean hotel in downtown Ottawa. It met with our basic needs and expectations although property it self seemed a little run down, security was not sufficient considering the neighborhood. Couldn’t get in front door at night and back door entrance is a potential security risk that feels very unsafe at night. Also the shower head was broken which made taking a shower very difficult, not acceptable. This was a known issue by hotel but was not dealt with until our last night, should have been fixed before we checked in, we shouldn’t have to be inconvenienced with this issue, especially as it wouldn’t have taken more than 5min to fix. Hope this helps to better your hotel, on the plus side check in and check out was quick and easy and staff seemed friendly and professional.

The common areas of the hotel, including the bedroom, are extremely dirty and smelly. also the bed and bedding. The carpets are the worst. We couldn’t go back to that hotel’s chain. The staff’s receptionist are very friendly and professional.

Blood stains and roaches
I am usually not picky with the numerous hotel/motels stays and rarely make a complaint review but here i am. Room was filthy. Bed sheets had blood stains and other stains. Floor were not cleaned at all and it being a dark brown i am sure we missed a lot more stains. None of the counter tops were wiped with old piles of dust. Then we spoted a huge roach scurrying around the bathroom. The door key/door never worked and it took 3 times of reseting the cards to enter. Bith nightd we heard strangers kackling and screaming right outside our door. We had to make sure none of our belongings had any roached on them after seeing them on our floors. I would not be returning to this location and actually would like a refund at this point.

Hotel was in a great location! Parking was easy and staff were super friendly. Unfortunately, the heat in the room didn’t work, and the sheets were a bit stained. Overall not a bad spot for a night and for the price

Not maintained. TV did not work properly. Could only get 1 channel. Told remotes are old so don’t work properly. Wallpaper peeling off walls in large pieces. Room was dark. Outlets for charging phones etc all broken and not usable. Looks like no one cares for property. Will not stay there again

I have no complaints about the stay. You get what you pay for. I was just very upset when we were leaving as the bed frame is broken and is sticking out at a few places and I ripped my blunstone on the frame. I suggest this gets fixed right away. Someone is going to get hurt Room 116

The hotel front door had a broken window. The keycard access to the lobby did not always work and this was acknowledged by the staff. The elevator was dirty and needed a good cleaning. The rooms were clean but dated. There is no restaurant / breakfast provided which is misleading from the website.

Go and check sofa in rooms. Filthy, dirty, if those are never cleaned. Got few pics and I can’t believe I had to stay with family in a room like that. Beggars all over and it felt too unsafe of an area to be in with family.

The location is great but be prepared for some drug addicts around the property. The service is great and they are all pretty kind. The room is clean and simple. Really good for an overnight stay.

My room was on the back of the property, I had to go through the parking lot and into a small building not connected with the rest of the hotel. The location was unsafe, with drugged people walking around. I was afraid to leave the hotel even to go to the pharmacy across the road. My room had huge holes in the ceiling and mold everywhere. I wanted to leave but it was too late to find any other accomodation.

We were disappointed by the excessive noise in the hallways and next door, which included the strong smell of marijuana. Additionally, we were surprised to find that the room did not offer any complimentary water. Unfortunately, by the time we checked in, it was too late to venture out to purchase some. Given the excellent location, we had higher expectations for cleanliness and maintenance.
