Close to main attrations

My experience was OK I called the desk to inquire about my coffee maker and nobody was able to come up and check it. I guess it was bad timing. I did recieve a letter saying sorry that no one was able to help me at that time.

Nice economical hotel close to Byward market

This motel was no Hilton but it was just as clean and comfortable as one with free parking. The Byward market was an easy walk and the hotel staff were awesome. Our room also had a fridge and microwave. Considering the location, this motel was a gem.

Short walk to downtown!!!

Pros: Price and location
Cons: Nil
Location: There are other places to stay for twice or more money,they are not closer to downtown. Visit the market.parliament and shopping in 15 mins.
The price was right,good ammenities and very friendly and helpful staff!!!

Billing

We had a billing error, when we brought it up they said it happens all the time. They charged us almost double the cost, at Christmas time, when money is short already, and won't be refunding us until after Christmas. Even more upsetting is they know this is an issue and have yet to fix it internally.

Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your feedback. We process the guest's credit card at check-in for a pre-authorization. Upon check-out, the hold is released. Depending on the person's bank, this could take a little as three days and up to ten business days. However, due to the Christmas holidays, the bank's release time would have been delayed in this instance. I apologize for this not being clearly communicated to you.

Good value and location

Pros: Location and price
Good value and location. Easy access to 417. Near to family. Hotel was warm, safe and dry. Hotel staff friendly. Internet and TV good.

As soon as we entered the hotel room we new our 6 nights stay wasn't going to be good. We stayed in a room that had 2 double beds and an ensuite. The choice of colouring in the room was a really weird yellow brown colour and the furnishings were old school. On top of this, everything was really dirty, for example there were stains on the carpet and basically on everything else. The internet also didn't work and we got told to contact the internet suppliers to help us with this problem. After calling them the internet still didn't work properly and because of this it made it really difficult to plan things to do in Ottawa. There also isn't a laundry facility on the premise (which is fine) but when we asked the front desk she sent us to a dry cleaners instead of a coin laundry. Because of this we had to wonder around for 20 minutes trying to find a laundromat. We eventually seeked help of another hotel (Days Inn) who sent us in the right direction. This hotel also caters to a number of low income families who may not be able to afford there own accommodation (which is a nice gesture for the hotel to offer) but one time during the night we heard thumping and there was a creepy guy stomping around outside and it really creeped me and my friends out. The house keeping service also wasn't good. We took the,'Do not disturb' sign off the door for one day to get our rubbish taken and new towels etc and we came back to only one bed made and 70% of our rubbish there.

We encourage our guests upon arrival to contact the front desk at any time or hour as we are staffed 24 hours to ensure someone is here at all times to assist with any issues that arise. In this instance, the front desk agent could have moved you to a better room if one was available as it could be that you were in a room that was a little further away from one of the internet access point. Again, I apologize for your experience.

Downtown attractions are within walk distance. The hotel facilities are somewhat disappointing to me however. Suitable for budget travelers.
