The room was beautiful and modern, I got upgraded to a suite (which I didn't really need). Everything was clean, and well equipped. However, the room temperature was far too cold and took far too long to adjust. I arrived at 3:00 AM - the room was 12C. I set the thermostat to 24C - it didn't reach that until 5:00 PM the next day!

Nice Hotel close to Down Town Ottawa

Posted Nov 19, 2016
Pros: The layout of the suite
Cons: The menu could offer more variety.
Location: Close to The Museum of Man , The War Museum, and down town Ottawa.
We spent 3 nights at Les Suites Victoria. The suite was very spacious, the little café has a very nice atmosphere, although the menu is kind of limited. We would stay there any time again and highly recommend it.

Pleasant hotel

Posted Nov 5, 2016
Location: I was leaving early so did not get to go to things in the area, but hotel does seem to be centrally located.
Rooms have a modern look. Only stayed one night, arrived late and appreciated being able to get a sandwich in the coffee shop by the lobby. Kitchen looked good in the suite if you were staying longer and wanted to cook. Breakfast was convenient but a little expensive. $15 for parking.

The room was beautiful, staff very pleasant, restaurant had a large selection of excellent meals. We enjoyed our stay very much while touring universities in Ottawa. Would definitely rebook!

Cons: Better parking and dont charge for parking.
Location: history musuem is nearby. Some college pubs are nearby.
The exterior of the hotel did not truly match the interior. The interior was new clean and spacious. just across the river from Parliment Hill. Definitely would go back.

Believe the hype

Posted Aug 28, 2016
Pros: Our room was spotless and the beds were comfy. The cafe in the lobby is excellent. Located near bike paths and museums.
Cons: The blocks just south of the hotel is a little sketchy and it's where the off-site parking is.
Location: Bike paths galore, which can take you over the water jet in Lac Leamy or to Ottawa. Great museums along the nearby riverfront.
Picked Les Suites Victoria because of the reviews. It was exactly what it was billed as: spacious and clean rooms, helpful staff, fantastic cafe in the lobby and all at a great price. Can't say enough about the cafe. It was superb. Worth the trip over to it even if you weren't staying at the hotel. The rooms was spotless. The beds were great. Had a small kitchen (more than a kitchenette). It's clearly a well-kept property. Very impressed by the staff as well. What I didn't read as much about in the reviews is the location. If you bike, it is right near a network of trails through Gatineau and Ottawa that is world class. They let us keep our bikes inside their parking garage. It's also a short walk over to the riverfront where the national history and natural history museums are located. The views around that area are spectacular. We walked over the Alexandra bridge to Ottawa (it has pedestrian and bike lanes) which gives you a fantastic view of Parliament and Ottawa in general. The area is extremely walkable. We plan on coming back to Ottawa/Gatineau for a longer stay in the future and we definitely plan on staying at Les Suites Victoria.

Great Find.

Wonderful, clean, and huge room! Big kitchen that you can actually cook in. Soft bed and good bathroom. Parking is pay and self park but not a deal breaker. Walking distance to the museum of natural history. Fast internet and plugs on both sides of the bed! Staff was nice and everyone was able to speak English.

Thank you for your comments Annika. The Gatineau city is french speaking town, but 80% of people here do speak english. I am happy you are able to use the kitchen in room. Hope to see you again in the near future. Les Suites Victoria

Plenty of room

Posted Aug 19, 2016
Pros: Facilities
Cons: Cost of car parking (15 + tax a day )
Location: Parliament hill light show on an evening is a must see.
Nice hotel although a good 2o/25 min walk into the centre. We booked a suite with 2 queen beds but on arrival were told the fridge wasn't working in our room and they didn't have another room the same so the only alternative was to have a King and a sofa bed which wasn't ideal but better than no fridge when it was so hot. Other than this it was a very pleasing hotel.
