down town

Posted May 25, 2017
Pros: Food
Cons: Pool, Hot Tub, room.
Location: Lots to do in down town Ottawa. Tulip Tour, Mint, P/Buildings By-ward Market.
The Pool, hot tub was very poorly maintained. Room smelled. Over priced. Had to give a deposit of &450.00 for the two rooms and have yet to receive it back, will take 3to 5 days!!!

Close to Parliament Hill

Posted May 21, 2017
Pros: The staff was first rate, the hotel was very clean and well located to attractions.
Cons: Access to pharmacies and other such stores are some distance away as the hotel is in the downtown core.
Location: Walking distance to Parliament Hill and By Ward Market.
The hotel is close to the hop on hop off and the Lady Dive as well as local transportation such as taxis and buses.

very good central location

Posted May 19, 2017
Pros: Nice clean hotel, centrally located. Valet staff very helpful. Rooms modern décor pleasing. View of park across the street.
Cons: Restaurant service, understaffed. Our poor waitress was trying to look after too many tables, then when the food did come sub par and cold.
Location: Parliament buildings, museums, churches, canal, Bytown. We went for tulip festival, lots of tulips everywhere,. Park at Dow lake most impressive
No problems with booking and check in, check in person must have assumed we knew all about the Hotel and city because no information was offered other than room number. No problems with changing rooms once we found we were near a screaming baby which we could hear clearly in our room. Restaurant severely under staffed, waited 1hr for high priced sub par evening meal, must not depend on return business. Valet staff very professional and helpful.

Walking distance and across from Park

Posted Apr 20, 2017
Pros: Primarily it's walking distance to many of the attractions around Ottawa
Cons: Bigger room with view
The hotel was a pleasant surprise given it proximity to Rideau, Parliament, bars, and food.

Convenient Location to Everything Downtown

Posted Apr 19, 2017
Pros: Location, location, location. Plus the staff were extremely helpful! Sitting in front of the fireplace in the lobby on a cold day was very nice.
Cons: Sound-proofing the rooms. Less air-conditioning in the hallways.
Loved the location & the in-house restaurant (albeit quite expensive) and Starbucks was very convenient. Staff were also great. Unfortunately, the stay was marred by the noise pollution in the upstairs area. All hotel doors close very loudly, and toilet flushing sound would wake even the heaviest sleeper. Disappointed that the builders did not include more sound-proofing in the obviously recent renovation. If you are hard of hearing, this is the Ottawa hotel that you might enjoy ... because it was great otherwise.

Dear Jack and Lola, We appreciate your feedback and are delighted that you found our location and staff to be pleasant. We would however like to extend our sincere apologies regarding the noise. We are currently looking at ways to minimize noise in adjoining rooms. We do hope you will have the opportunity to return again once this is resolved.
