We loved our stay at Novotel in downtown Ottawa. The location was convenient close to restaurants and shopping. The parking situation was a little tricky. The garage below the hotel was under renovation, making it inaccessible. We had to park I under the Rideau centre and there wasn’t direct access to the hotel. You needed to walk through the mall or run up and down the ramp. The Albion Rooms in the hotel was nice offering small aperitifs and drinks.

Excellent stay. The room was very quiet, which for us is a must. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long, long time in a hotel.

the area was surrounded by street people who suffer from mental illness. our thoughts and prayers go out to these individuals, one individual overdosed and was completely unconsciousness. Not a pleasant experience to check in, followed by the hotel being dirty, stained carpets in elevators, hallways, my adult children felt unsafe. we checked out early, only to have the hotel to charge for the full stay.. it was very disappointing experience only blocks away from Parliament Hill Canada's capital.,

The only critique i would have is about the lay out of my bathroom, it wasn't as practicle as I would expect. But its not that big of a deal. I would not hesitate to go back to this hotel. Staff & cleanliness is great, quiet, convenient, restaurant was good, etc.

We do not own a parking, there is a public parking that belongs to Indigo and is below us and we had a deal with them, however, they are closed for their repairs temporarily and meanwhile, guests can park at CF center parking and pay them directly. since we do not own any parking, we do not have control over their fees and operations. The hotel was nice, but needs a bit of an update. The room was spacious and clean. The area surrounding felt a little rough and unsafe. I think that speaks to the current cost of living and less so about the hotel. It was very central.
