We are pleased you enjoyed your stay, and appreciate the comments about receiving friendly service from the hotel staff. You mentioned the hotel website and that it accurately describes the hotel guestrooms, services and facilities we offer. This information will be helpful to future guests when making their bookings. We are nestled in a quiet corner of downtown Ottawa within walking distance of the sights and attractions. We hope to see you in 2017!

Not what was expected.

Posted Dec 20, 2016
We were a part of four that booked three rooms for three nights. The rooms were fine and comfortable but the elevators stank like rotten eggs as did the eighth floor corridor. A uneaten room service tray sat in that hallway for three entire days. Disgraceful. A heavy snowfall had occurred but absolutely no effort was provided for snow removal or fall prevention. My eighty six year old mother was forced to climb over snowplow drifts as was our entire wedding party. It is outrageous that for three entire days absolutely no effort was made to afford venue access through the snow. We live in s place where it snows and every property owner is required by law to remove excess snow within 24 hours if it accumulating.

We are glad that you found our rooms comfortable. We do apologise for the smell in our elevator and in the hall way on your floor that is due to the construction that is being done by the city on queen street. We have spoken with our housekeeping manager to make sure that food trays are picked up right away. Our hotel loading zone on the street is done by the city however our maintainace team will ensure to countinue clearing the snow and salting our entrance way more often and as needed. We did buy a snow blower to make sure guests do not have this issue again.

Close to downtown

Posted Dec 19, 2016
Hotel was great for being so close to everything within walking distance. It did however take close to 30-40 minutes to get hot water(they told us it was due to the fact of being so cold and not enough people staying it took a bit to warm up), as soon as you walked into the elevator there was a horrible smell coming from what we figured was the basement. We stayed 2 nights and on the Saturday the new towels we received for Sunday, they had hairs in some of them( which we didn't want to use them) But overall was a nice comfy bed to come back to after freezing our buns off outside, walking around downtown Ottawa.

Thank you for staying with us and for your positive feedback. We are sorry for the inconvienance for the hot water and for the smell because of all the construction going on. Finally the smell is gone from the elevator and from our floors. We hope that the hot water issue will be fixed soon also. We did bring the issue of the towels up to our housekeeping management as that is something that should not have happened.

Not too bad. Room was clean and fairly comfortable. I usually had to take the stairs as the elevator wait was very long. The elevator also had a really bad smell the few times I was in it. No microwave or mini fridge in the room, but perphaps I needed to request one / pay extra. Lots of construction on the street nearby made walking to the office a bit difficult.

Great location, downtown Ottawa

Posted Nov 22, 2016
Pros: Love dealing with pleasant staff!
We arrived for an overnight stay. Location was great (near another hotel where we were attending a wedding) Staff were pleasant upon check in and as we left. Hotel was clean (carpets seemed a little older in the room) over all a great rating and we would recommend!

dont stay at the radisson

Posted Nov 21, 2016
I was insulted by the hotel staff and the pictures are not anything like your web site. The room was supposed to be 2 queen size beds I got double! Not a good experience.

We regret you received a room with 2 double beds instead of the 2 queen beds you were expecting. I am not sure if you contacted Guest Services to request a room change. We like to have the opportunity to move a guest if a room is not to their liking. I am very sorry you encountered a staff member that was impolite. This is not the standards of service we strive to provide to our guests.

Structural reconstruction inside the hotel

Posted Nov 19, 2016
Pros: The staff are the greatest. They still had smiles on their faces throughout the day. I empathized with them on this situation. Great people!
Cons: Make sure that there is a RED warning sign about the construction on their Website.
There is a structural reconstruction in the basement of this hotel. The jackhammers that are used shakes the hotel from 8:00 am until 18:00 pm. The noise level is above comfortable and will drive you nut if you need to work in your bedroom.

Dear valued guest, Thank you very much about you positive comments on the staff. We do apologize for the noise of the necessary parking restoration that has inconvenienced you. We have made every effort in advertising this on all third party website, our own website, in the lobby, check-in, in the elevators, in the guestrooms as well while making reservations over the telephone with us to try to avoid any noise complaints. Awesome location and price.

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Pros: I got a deal so couldn't beat the price for the location. Walked to everything.
Cons: Could use some updating but it was overall great. The location and price was good. Lots of construction but that's the city.
Location: Parliament, art gallery, byward market. It's ok close.
