Nice clean quiet room.

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Pros: Off main street so very quiet. Not really any traffic noice.
Cons: Breakfast could be improved. If you are about cans of O.J. and Apple juice and crappy breakfast pastries then you are golden.
Location: Lots of stuff to do. Off road and hiking and lots of shopping.
A quick stay over night in beautiful Ouray, CO. The hot springs tubs are nice.

I'm so glad to know you enjoyed your visit with us! Located as we are in the southwest corner of town, we are close to everything, while at the same time, quiet with a sense of seclusion - especially while soaking in our hot springs! We do have an arrangement with a restaurant on Main Street for those who desire a more substantial breakfast than what we are able to provide here, as we do not have a commercial kitchen and are quite limited on what we can present to our guests. Thank you so much for staying with us, and we look forward to your next visit!

Great Place to Stay

Posted Jun 30, 2016
Room was clean and bed was comfortable and the hot springs tubs were great! The motel on the the outside is very well kept. WiFi is like using dial up, and very conservative with how many towels you have in your room. Only will give you 1 towel for use at the hot tubs. The only other thing is there a sign for everything!

From clean, comfortable rooms to excellent service and beautiful grounds, we strive to make every visit great. We provide a number of towels for the tubs in each room, but are always more than happy to bring you more if you would like. We are also in the process of upgrading to fiber wireless in the town of Ouray, as it does get slow at times when there are a lot of people accessing the internet.

Woodsy chalet near Uncompahgre Gorge

Posted Jun 6, 2016
Pros: Clean, basic but comfortable, very helpful staff, scenic setting, honesty: this hotel doesn't put on airs.
Cons: The edges of a couple of the tubs are getting well-worn and splintery. The "continental breakfast" is vending machine fare. Coffee's fine though!
Location: Jeep tour from Switzerland of America with Lance was great - glad not to be driving! Old Hundred Gold Mine tour and perimeter trail walk.
This hotel nestled at the end of 3rd Ave near Box Canyon Park is the perfect staging area for walks, drives, tours into the nearby breathtaking areas. What could be better than a soak before dinner after the day's hiking. We stayed for several days and punctuated walking and driving tours of the area with hot tub soaks.

A weekend getaway at the Box Canyon Lodge in Ouray is the ideal escape. Our staff is here to help you plan the perfect adventures for you and yours. Taking a jeep tour is indeed one of the most wonderful ways to enjoy the scenery, without the worry of driving yourself, you get to spend the entire ride taking pictures and meeting co-adventurers in Ouray. Our location is perfect, with easy access to all of the restaurants and shops on Main Street one way, and a variety of hiking and off road trails in the other. We have recently made arrangements with a restaurant on Main Street for a more substantial breakfast for our guests at a small additional fee.

Great Getaway

The best thing about this hotel is the hot springs. The tubs were amazing, with only only water there is no chemical smell, so it was very refreshing. The breakfast is minimal, so keep that in mind if you like a robust breakfast.

Our tubs are indeed wonderful. We do not treat the water, and because there is so little sulfur in our springs, there is no odor. We do have an arrangement with a local restaurant that provides a full breakfast at a discounted price for those guests who would like something more substantial for breakfast.
