This is the third time we have been to the Sanderling. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The renovations that were done and were advertised three years ago pertained mostly to the outside. The Resort looks old and tired, worn around the edges.
The staff at the check in was curt to put it politely.
In the afternoon we received a call to remind my husband that collared shirt was required and a jacket recommended for our dinner at " Kimball's ".My husband had shirt, tie and jacket to wear for dinner. We were very surprised that people came in wearing shorts, cargo pants and flip flops. It certainly took away from the otherwise "fine dining " experience. OK, it's a beach resort, so a jacket and tie might be overdone, but slacks and shirts should be required and enforced ( no flip or shorts).
Breakfast was mediocre at best.
