Value hotel- clean but needs updates

Nice, but could be better

Front desk clerk was attentive, while room we were placed had a smell coming from bath tub drain and TV was not functioning. We were though to a different room at our request.

Another average stay

We arrived Wednesday evening to move into college Thursday morning. I phoned ahead to alert front desk that we were delayed in our travel time and that we would be later than anticipated. I had requested the same room as I had when I stayed in June. I was given a different room that was half the size and there were no accommodations for my guest. We were told there were no more cots available. And that the room that I had requested was not available. I feel that communication could be improved with the staff. However, the morning manager did not acknowledge us at all the following morning. After passing her twice in hall, I said Good Morning to have her just look at me and give me a grin. The hotel staff have been very pleasant both times I have stayed though. Kudos to them!

Last Option

This will be my last option when staying in the area in the future. The room is fine but the staff couldn't be any more disinterested. It felt like I was interrupting something when I arrived for check in. Apparently good customer service is not required due to the limited rooms available with a Miami University nearby.
