conveniently located to Oxford University + riverPosted Sep 7, 2015
Pros: the location, the calm and modern vibe, the breakfast
Cons: working TV and bathroom fan
I had a nice stay at Ethos while on a work-related trip. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic - about a 10 minute walk to the university along a scenic river walk. Ethos is located in a quiet neighbourhood that was charming to stroll around...also nice to get away from the tourists. The room was nice and modern and came with a kettle, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, fridge, and some dishware. The fan in the bathroom was broken and I was unable to turn the TV on....not a huge problem for me but indicated that the rooms could be maintained a little better.

Modern and immaculate hotelPosted Sep 2, 2015
The hotel is walking distance from the centre of Oxford. The room was immaculate with fantastic amenities, including a large comfortable bed with a pillow top, a built-in combi microwave, a kettle, sky box, wall-mounted TV, and a private wifi network. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great locationPosted Aug 26, 2015 on Hotels
The staff was excellent, very helpful and accommodating. Upon arrival the hotel seemed a bit run down, we were pleasantly surprised the next day to meet a new manager who was in the process of updating and improving the hotel. We were there 5 nights and so we got to know the neighborhood pretty well. It is in a great location - about a ten minute walk from the city center.

Convenient locationPosted Aug 23, 2015 on Hotels
Very convenient for walking into Oxford but not overly happy about being in an annexe with separate entrance and on ground floor for security as no small window to leave open. Comfy bed and good TV with average breakfast facilities.

Oxford ConveniencePosted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: Location, Location, Location.
Cons: Main building entrance door slammed shut with a bang every time someone entered.
Location: Lovely riverside walks, great pub Head of the River nearby. Do a walking tour in the town centre, so much history.
Small room, but excellent proximity to town centre. The reception person was very courteous and helped us squeeze into a car park which was much appreciated. After a lovely walk, we turned on the TV and followed the instructions for Sky TV, no luck. After some experimenting and ignoring the instructions we finally got it to work. Nice and quiet location and breakfast over the road included in the room tariff. Excellent value for money.

Nice spot in Oxford.Posted Aug 9, 2015 on Hotels
Great place. Nice staff and breakfast. Internet was not consistent and the cable never worked-though they tried to fix it.
