The hotel is a bit dated but staff were very friendly and helpful and room was clean. Breakfast was fine but there are far better places to eat in the evening nearby.
Good food, albeit limited evening meal choice. Decent choice of breakfast fare (though sadly no porridge or black pudding!). Staff friendly enough but not effusive, and table service slow. This is an inn, not a hotel. Our room (nearest to the road) suffered some road noise first thing in the morning ...
Nice welcome and able to check in easily. Staff knowledgeable on the local area. Size of mill rooms as a twin bedroom was rather cramped and we had to ask for a chair to be removed to walk around one side of the bed. Storage was very poor and we ended up leaving our clothes in our suitcases as there ...
Arrived at hotel following some signs but sat nave told us to turn down drive which was gated only 100 yards from front of hotel. We telephoned hotel and they did not know where we were and eventually directed it’s on a 3 mike detour. Should have signs on all estate entrance to clearly show no direct ...
The restaurant and bar are understaffed or were when we were there. The staff works hard, the bartender in particular, but when bus traffic is expected the staff needs to be increased. Other than this and the stairs we were very happy with the accommodations.
The room was roomy and cosy, though we found the bed a bit low and the mattress slightly uncomfortable and not very supportive. The shower was excellent, and overall the room was very clean. Breakfast was great - quality, fresh ingredients and we particularly enjoyed the sticky muesli which was a ...
The hotel is just off the M40, with 'motel style' rooms around a court yard / garden at the rear of an older 'pub' that has been converted into a modern hotel / restaurant. The courtyard bedrooms are spacious, clean and comfortable - with some background traffic noise from the motorway - in an otherwise ...
We found the hotel very welcoming and friendly. Beds were comfortable with good shower in an on suite situation. The stay was on bed & breakfast basis, both full English and Continental breakfasts were a good start for the day.
We had a romantic break planned for my 50th Birthday and chose the Bay Tree Hotel in Burford. We chose the Oak Suite which was very comfortable, clean and lots of space...We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and drinks in the restful garden. Sadly breakfast was a dissapointment...but it may have ...
Really convenient location for Bicester oxford and motorways. Very quiet and leafy location. Big car park. All in all a good place for a couple of nights but probably it for a long get stay -a bit lacking in atmosphere and staff a little world weary. Overall though I would certainly stay again and ...
